Chapter Four: I Know Where I Stand, Silent In The Trees

Y/N's POV

I woke up from my peaceful bliss and just stayed laying there for a moment. I hope Nogla got the email... I sighed and realized I'd have to get out of the warm bed to find out.

As I flipped the sheets off of my body, goosebumps rose on my arms and legs from the sudden shift of hot to cold. I let the quick shiver run up my spine and put some jeans and a faded Lynard Skynard shirt that was in the dark cherry wood dresser in my room. I then left my room to see if anyone else was up. I wonder what time it is? I got to the dimly lit kitchen ad looked at the clock that was on the stove. 8:45am... A little too early for Rico or Jez to be awake. I had to be patient with this. I knew I wast going to be able to go back to sleep so I decided I'd watch a movie. I picked out The Other Guys since I loved that movie. Rico would watch it with me when I was upset and I'd always be laughing at Rico doing the impressions of the actors. I smiled at the thought and put the movie on, then I lay on the couch with the fluffy blanket covering me. I began to fall asleep, my eyes drooped and then my vision went black.

"Y/N, Y/N wake up!" A loud voice woke me from my peaceful slumber.

I opened my eyes and saw Rico's excited face smiling down at me. I rubbed my eyes to get the sleep out of them. "What is it Rico?"

"Daithi message me back! He remembers you! He remembers you Y/N!"

My eyes widen and I sat straight up. "What else did he say?"

"You have to come read for yourself." He smirked and backed out of the room and then ran to his bedroom. I quickly followed, pure adrenaline running through my veins. When I got to his room I nearly fell over the computer chair trying to sit in it. The email David sent was present on the screen.

Yes I know that gorgeous girl... I lost her a long time ago though. How do you know her? Please if you have anyway of her contacting me, let her know I miss her gravely. My Skype is PotatoNogla.

I put a hand over my mouth and closed my eyes. He actually remembers me... I open up Skype and type in his skype name. I'm using Rico's skype so he should answer. I click on the call button and wait. He answers and I wait for the video feed to load. The second his face pops up on the screen I was crying. His eyes widen when he sees me and he has a big smile on his face. "David..." I trail off.

"Y/N... I didn't know what happened to you," he took a breath to steady his voice and breathing. "But you're okay now and that's all that matters. What happened that night though?"

I looked down. It was my turn to take a steadying breath. "After my parents took me away from you, they threw my back into my room and locked me in. They went back to getting drunk and abusing me for almost two years David..." I stayed looking a my lap. "Then They just left me for dead. I don't know where they went, but I don't really care." I looked back up at David a small smile on my face. "Because now I can be with you and be happy."

He smiled brightly at me and nodded. "Of course, by the way what city are you at?"

"Dun Laoghaire," I answered. My small city sat about 20 minutes outside of Dublin.

David's eyes lit up. "Really?! I'm in Dublin, Y/N! What's your address of where you are staying right now? I'll come get you." I laughed at David's child-like excitement. I told him address and he said he be here shortly. We both bid each other goodbyes and I ran out of the room since Rico gave me my privacy. I ran into the kitchen where he and Jez sat. Jez was drinking coffee while Rico cooked some breakfast. I kept my calm and looke over his shoulder to see what he was cooking. Bacon, eggs, and hash brown. Looks yummy! Just then my stomach let out a loud groan in an attempt to let me know I was hungry.

"So how'd it go?" Rico asked. I smiled  blushing and looking somewheres else to avoid his teasing gaze.

"Awesome, he's gonna come pick me up so we can talk more." Jez and Rico smiled at me.

"That's so great!" Jez yelled happily. "You get to be happy! That's adorable." She teased me some more.

Rico spoke up to halt her teasing. "Hey, by the way, when he gets here, invite him in for breakfast so we can meet mister dream boy too!" Rico smirked. "Breakfast is almost ready."

I felt my face grown even hotter so I left an went up to my room. I packed a small overnight bag since I figured I'd probably sleep over there for the night anyway. I grabbed two tank tops, one blue and one green, a pair of black skinny jeans with a few rips here and there, and lastly a couple shirts I like to war. One of them had a potato on it. A sudden smile crept onto my face as I thought about the situation I was in right now.
I can't believe it I thought to myself. We are finally going to be able to be together. After so long... I thought silently. I was so happy or once in my life. A small tear of happiness rolled down my face. I can finally be happy... My life is finally going to be okay.
