It was very late when I woke up. I remembered everything that had happened the previous day, and it hit me like a truck. I immediately jumped up, and threw on my usual tank top, but I three on pants today, it has getting slightly chillier lately, and my legs are really sensitive. I hurriedly brushed my hair and teeth, put on some deodorant, threw on some sneakers, and bolted out the door.
I was hurrying as fast as I could, trying to af least jog, but 1: I didn't want to be a mess when I got there, and 2: I don't run in real life, I just don't. I slightly slowed my pace, sticking with a swift walk. I passed many shops and restaurants, and somehow, I wasn't even tempted. It made me feel a little weird, usually I would stop, and get a bite to eat, or maybe a little trinket. After managing to get through all of the people on the streets, I found myself right at the hospital. This one is a little closer to my apartment than the one in the opposite direction. I was suprised that they brought Kazuto to this one though, because its further away than the other one. Setting thatcaside, I walked inside, right up to the front desk. The lady at the front desk was very cheery, and seemed to brighten up as I walked over. "Why hello ma'am, how may I help you?" Uhh...I'm in a hospital... I could only be here for two things...I'm sick or injured. Or I'm visiting, and its quite obvious that I'm not sick or injured. "Yes, uh I'm here to see a friend that was brought in yesterday night?..." "Does he have a name?" noooo, he doesn't "Kazuto Kirigaya" I replied, keeping the thought to myself. "You came at a great time, he should be waking up sometime soon. We gave him some medicine to help him sleep, but he is severely injured, so please be careful." They gave me a sheet of paper I had to sign, to 'ensure the safety of all patients, you must have to blah blah blah, because blah blah blah'. I signed the paper, and I was escorted to his room by one of the doctors.
He was hooked up to probably like, ten machines at once. He was wired to many machines, some pumping I'm blood, some pumping out, others taking temperature, and a billion other things. I walked over slowly and sat down, trying not to look at him too much, because if I looked at him for to long, I would probably bust out crying. I slowly looked at his hand and pulled it into mine. His hands were so warm and soft, but they looked very bruised. I could almost feel myself breaking inside. I felt like I possibly could've prevented this from happening. I slowly began to notice I was crying, and wiped my eyes, but right before I did, I felt someone grab my hand. Kazuto had awoken since I came in, and was watching me the entire time! I looked right at him, and he smiled. He gave me a smile that I havnt seen for a long time. I slowly began to smile as well. I can't even explain how I felt at that moment. I could feel happiness and energy surging through my body, as if seeing his smile had cured cancer or something. "K-K-Kazuto-kun...." I found myself smiling like a complete idiot, but then again, I was so happy that he was okay, I could have cared less. I never thought I would have, but I did it....I kissed him...instead of being the shy, normal Shino everyone knows, I took charge, and I made a decision that would change my entire future. His lips were so soft, it was hard to believe that he is a guy. I was about to pull away, when I felt him kiss back! He slowly put one hand behind my head, and pulled me towards him, as he kissed me. My body felt hot all over. I couldn't believe I was actually kissing him, and he was kissing back! The kiss continued for a little while longer, and eventually we broke the kiss. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at him. Then to the door. Only to see the one person I didnt want to see us. Asuna was standing there, practically in tears, and as soon as Kazuto saw where I was looking, he looked a little grim. Asuna quickly ran away when we saw her, and Kazuto looked away, looking a little sad.
I quickly turned and looked at him, as I grabbed his hand again, smiling hoping he'll cheer up. "Hey Kazuto, I'm gonna go get something to eat, I'll be right back." I looked at him as he looked up, nodded and looked back at the sheets. I stood up and grabbed the backpack I had, as I made my way outside. I took a deep breath in, and began walking towards a shop I saw on the way here that looked really cool, I figured I'd get something for Kazuto. It felt like a much longer walk to get back to the shop than it was to get to the hospital. Eventually I made it to the shop, and hesitantly walked into the shop as a small bell rang, announcing my entrance. I made my way around the shop, noticing a few small daggers and swords in a case at the counter. As I walked up to the counter, I noticed a large looking case behind him on a shelf marked as "ELUCIDATOR- very fragile". I quickly looked at the man and pointed to the sword. "Sir, how much are you charging for that?" He looked at me as if I was insane. "Well ma'am, this is a very special sword that is an exact replica from a legendary game known as Sword Art Online, and it's quite expensive...are you sure you want this?" He slowly grabbed down the case and placed it with a thump down on the table as he slowly held up a tag, and written on it: $4,000!!! "I glanced at it for a second and decided not to look for too long in case I changed my mind. Its okay...after winning the B.O.B. I have plenty enough....I quickly swiped my card, grabbed the ridiculously heavy and expensive case, opened it to look at it, closed it again and headed off. I made my way quickly back to the hospital where Kirito was sleeping in his room. I slowly walked over to his bed and played the case down next to his bed as I hesitantly pulled his hand into mine.
