Waiting for Kazuto to wake back up felt like ages, but luckily I had 12 cups of coffee to help me through it. And I was glad I was there when he did. He said that he was feeling a lot better, and he could probably walk. But being the overprotective person I am, I made him stay in bed until the doctors said otherwise. He still had to use crutches to get around just in case. His legs were a little weak from not using them for so long, but he quickly got the hang of it, and had been walking around for a while now. I hadn't given him the sword I bought him though because I know that his birthday is right around the corner, and I figured I'd save it till then. It has been a couple of weeks since Kazuto got out of the hospital, and he seems to be getting better physically, but every time he takes a nap I get scared he won't wake up for a while like last time. It might just be me, but you can never be too careful after something like this happens. I visited Kazuto's house one day, to find him laying in bed, hooked up to his NerveGear, probably playing some new game. I knew he would never play Alfheim Online again would he? I mean, that's where Asuna usually is, because I see her there when I play on my own. The game case laying next to him was some new one, like I had guessed, that I had never heard they released. I was super extatic to see 'GGO II' plastered across the top in large letters though. I bolted out of Kazuto's house and to the nearest V.R store, to check the current releases. I was surprised to find the shelves stocked with the game. Even though it had the top reviews in Japan, no one was buying it? It seemed kinda weird, but I was in a more secluded, undiscovered V.R store. I made my way home with the new game in hand as fast as my little legs could carry me. I came flying through the door, practically breaking it off it's hinges, and set up all of my equipment as quickly as possible. I soon found myself laying in my bed, wearing the NerveGear, and I started it up.
I entered the game, but before I did, it asked for much more personal information, such as height, weight, and many other factors. Insurance, bank information, and a ton of others. Probably to make the experience as real as possible. I got into the game, and the first thing I saw, was a beautiful feild. Full of many players with... Swords? Wait, that's not right though, isn't it Gun Gale Online? If the game is meant to be a shooter game, why do all of the players have swords? I looked around some more, and I began running towards the huge group of buildings, on an island across some water. I came up to the water and looked at it, wondering whether to swim or not, when in front of me a small hint box popped up. I opened it and it read: "Your level is too low to be able to swim, but there should be a teleporter somewhere around here". Well, that's helpful... I began to jog slowly around d the island, looking for a 'teleporter' when I can across a small metal pad, with a beam of light coming out of the center. I looked at it and again the hint box popped up. This time reading: "Teleporter- Step on these small times to immediately be moved to the central area of 'Town of Beginnings'. There are many more in the regions to come, that will do many different things". I hesitantly looked at the tile, and walked into it.
I found myself in a large town, with people roaming everywhere around me. The people, just like the ones I saw had swords strapped to their backs. Except for the missing elf ears and wings, it looked a lot like Alfheim Online. It was strange to be in a game so similar to GGO, yet so different. I felt everyone's eyes on me as I checked myself to make sure I actually had clothes. I did, thank goodness. I remember playing a V.R. game, where I started without them. I made my way quickly to the nearest Store to get armor and hopefully a weapon. The moment I walked in the store I could tell it was different. There were still all of the technology pads and weapon walls, like in GGO, but there wasn't a gun in sight. It was swords, knives, and a ton of other kinds of blades. It seemed like someone took AHO, and put it in the GGO style. I walked to the nearest pad, to check one of the weapon racks. I scrolled down the list of weapons, but I couldn't understand anything on it. Tang? What the hell is tang? And why do I care about it? It was super insane. I just went with the beginners knife and a bag of throwing knives, its the closest thing to GGO weapons I could find.
I made it out of the shop with some lighter armor and the knife. The armor was the highest in its class apparently, and I figured it would work better with a small knife. I headed towards the main building in the town, heading for the large double-doors at the front. As I walked in a large digital banner was displayed above the doorway. It read: "Blood Alliance- Fighting for the future, living from the past!". It seemed really weird to see. 'Living from the past'? What did that mean? There were no Alliances in the original GGO. I walked in and began heading down a seemingly endless hall, that was filled with people, most wearing red and white colored armor. As I made my way through the crowd, I came to a stop at a doorway, with two very large men gaurding it, both of them holding giant glimmering axes. As I approached them, the looked down at me with very rough looks. The one on the left began speaking. " excuse me ma'am, but this area is off limits. Only members of the Blood Alliance are allowed back here." I immediately nodded, and turned around, beginning to walk. Still looking at them, u accidentally bumped into another player and I fell back, landing right on the floor. All I could see was the bottom of their red and white dress. I looked up, vision still blurry, and I could barely see them, but I still found some consciousness to speak. "Hey watch where you're going idiot..." As my eyesight came to, I could almost clearly see the player, and I was quite surprised when I saw who it was. "A...Asuna?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey everybody, I am so sorry it took so long for me to make this. A little bit of writers block and my normal schedule has been thrown aside, so my updates may become a little more sporadic. That aside, let me know what you think of this part, and whether or not the time skip was too much. If you want I will make the next part a basic summary of what happened during that time. Anyways, let me know if you guys like it, and don't be afraid to hit me up on Facebook or message me on here. Thanks again for all of your support!!
