The last thing Annabeth remembered was that she and Clarisse were running, Running in the rain. They were chasing them. The people (well not "people") who told her that no matter how hard the camps fight, He will win in the end. She had sent an Iris message to Chiron and told him that it was for his ears only, until the sign. All of her work was done, she could have  stopped running, let it all be over, let Clarisse explain the horrible news to the camps. She had suffered enough hadn't she? But then she remembered sea green eyes and ran even faster. She was almost there, but then she tripped.

When Annabeth woke up she was in the infirmary with a bandaged wrist and being fed ambrosia and nectar. She looked up at the one feeding her and relaxed, it was Will Solace, the best healer in both camps. Annabeth continued to look at her surroundings and gasped, there on the cot next to her was the mangled shape of the one running alongside her, Clarisse. She wanted to go and see if she was awake, alive even, but she knew that the human body could only withstand so much hurt. Silena, Chris, the constant wrath of her father, and now this. Like she said, only so much hurt. Will followed her gase and snapped at two Apollo kids and they covered her up with a white sheet. "Where" she started "Percy has been trying to sneak in here to see you for the past three days, its only fair to let him see you after all this time" Will said with a crooked grin as he bandaged her left elbow. Annabeth nodded profusely and Will laughed softly, "I'll send him in" and then he was gone. She heard faint voices and then all her worries were gone, He was not going to spoil reuniting with Percy, he bolted in with a worried look on his face and then smiled like the sky was being lifted from his shoulders, which in case you dont know is something that both of them knew all too well of. He glided to her bedside and got down on one knee, he pulled a little black box out of his pocket and cleared his throat, " Annabeth Chase, I have known you for seven years of my life and I have not forgotten a word you said to me, 'you drool when you sleep' was the first thing you said to me, and I never want to hear the last. I love you Wise Girl, and I will never be able to prove just how much, it literally can not be done, so will you give me the honor of marrying you?" And as he finished he opened up the box and revieled a ring set with a green and grey marble looking camp bead with little engravings of all of the prophesies they had both been there to witness. "You can think about it, you can have all of the time in the wor-" "Of course I'll marry you Seaweed Brain." She said tearfully. "I love you"  they both chorused, and then they were kissing, all of the hurt and pain in their lives were gone, they had each other, and all of that was expressed in their kisses. Her lips were dry and cracked, and her breath probably stank from being passed out for three days, but Percy and his sea salt smelling hair didn't seem to mind. "Hem" soneone fake coughed, "Time's up, you're still healing" he pionted at Annabeth, "and you have sword practice in the arena Mr. Instructor." (Percy was the most skilled swordsman in both camps, so naturally he taught everybody) Percy left with a nod and gleefully smiled at Annabeth, her heart swelled. At her bedside she saw the box and quickly grabbed it and while Will was closing the door, opened the box and slipped the ring on to her finger. She looked at her hand and sighed, "Annabeth Jackson" she whispered to herself, and she fell asleep lulling the two words over in her head.
