When Percy felt the ground shake, he was at the sword arena and accidentally ran through a sword dummy with Riptide. He heard someone screaming like a girl when he realized it was himself. Hey, he thought it was a kid he killed, not a fake sword opponent. As the big house caved in, Percy felt another quake that tore down the lava wall. He had to find the source of the earthquake. He had to find Kris. Percy called her name over and over until his demigod heightened eyesight spotted two girls running up from the beach, one with black hair, and the other his fiancée. The earth shook again and Percy fell on his face. He felt his cheeks flush as he stood up and screamed, "Kris!" She had fallen too. Kris couldn't control her powers yet, if she didn't stop soon, she would destroy the whole camp! Percy heard another building collapse and his sister screamed. He thrusted out his hand and felt a wrenching pain in his gut. The girls were soaked with lake water and shivering, but the danger was over. "Annabeth, Kris, are you ok?" They both nodded. Kris glanced over at Annabeth and cautiously said, " Percy, I think Annabeth needs to talk to you..." She began to back away with her hands out in front of her, then she sprinted back to the Posidon cabin, which was not buried in rubble. "Percy," Annabeth began, " I love you. You know that right?" Percy nodded, unsure of where this conversation was going. "I. I can't marry you" the words flowed out of her mouth like molasses." Percy was dumbstruck. Annabeth was the only girl he had ever loved, and now she didn't want to be with him? "Percy I can explain!" "Explain what, the fact that you don't love me anymore? I'm fine, I understand, I don't need to hear those words out of your mouth." "He's back and controlling everything to do with Aphrodite and Venus." "Who, Kronos? We already beat him, we can do it again. Gaea? Sleeping for a few more millennia." Annabeth looked up at Percy and spoke a single name, a name that would change everything, "Ouranos."
