I Never Forgot (A COD Advanced Warfare Fanfic)

Part 10 -4 Years Later-

Keegan's POV

-flashback-
I picked up on the fourth ring "hello?" I say hearing static but then a voice I'd thought I never hear again which belonged to Mitchell. "Kee...gan I nee... t.. tell you so..me... Hades...is....yo.. bio...logic... the..." I couldn't make out the words he was saying as I frowned. "Mitchell what are you saying" I say loudly into the phone "Irons is...n..yo..r...f..r.." And the line went dead. I sat on my bed puzzled as to what Mitchell was trying to tell me the only information I could really get out of it was something to do with Hades, Irons, and something bio and something about logic. The reception at Atlas must have been really bad wherever Mitchell was I think before going back to the movie but all my thoughts circled around that broken phone call.

It's been four years since that call and I still couldn't figure it out at first I spent hours trying to decipher what he may have been saying but I just couldn't. I haven't been on a lot of missions lately and I am just sitting in my room watching t.v as always these days. An interview with Jonathan Irons my father was on and I almost changed the channel except I saw two people Mitchell and Gideon. I stared at there faces seeing that Mitchell hair has grown and he had some facial hair. Gideon well he looked the same still wearing the same beanie he had before.
Gideon's POV

I was talking to Mitchell till I heard Ilona "Gideon, Mitchell. Meet me in maintenance room 6b don't bring anyone else" she said. "Alright let's go see what the hell she wants" I say walking to go to the maintenance room. Commenting about how you couldn't go outside in Baghdad without getting shot "Now its fucking thriving. Thanks to us" I add as we walk through the door. Going down a flight of stairs as I pass two Atlas soldiers "good afternoon sir" one says but I ignore him walking down to the maintenance room. "What is it Ilona" I say walking into the room "you didn't bring anyone else?" She asks "No now what is it" I say impatiently.
Keegan's POV

A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts as I sighed and went to open the door. "What's up" I say to Cormack "it's your lucky day we're going on a mission" he says and I smile "be in the main hangar in 10" he says before leaving as I go change into my Exo suit. I run to the hangar and meet up with Carly and Logan "eh you know what we're doing" Logan says "Nope" I say as we get our orders. "Everybody we have a very important mission that we have to keep secret until we know for sure but it seems that Jonathan Irons was profiting from the KVA attacks. We think that some Atlas soldiers may be in trouble so we need to go there and rescue them" Cormack says as we all were sitting in the WarBird now heading to the Atlas military base. I really hope Ilona, Mitchell, and Gideon are ok I think as we set up for the mission.
Gideon's POV

I was watching the scene unfold in front of me as Irons shot the PM. "We have to get out of here now" Ilona says as she hurries to get out the door as a flash bang blinds our eyesight. My vision came back and I made out the blurry figure of Irons. "We saw everything" Ilona spat at Irons as I stood there unguarded by the Atlas soldiers who were aiming their pistols at Ilona and Mitchell. "What you saw was a fake!" Irons defended.

"You let all those innocent people die! Your a...monster!" Ilona shouted at Irons "Gideon" I hear Irons say as I stand there with a million thoughts running through my head. Irons proceeded to leave as I was supposed to follow "Gideon" Ilona pleaded "you know what you saw" her eyes begged me to say something as I heard Irons whisper something under his breath "He said it was a fake" I say as I take a glance at Mitchell and back to Ilona before following Irons out.
Keegan's POV

I watched as Mitchell and Ilona came running to the WarBird as the back opened to the WarBird. We were cloaked and when they reached us we turned off the cloaking device. "You remember your old commanding officer right" Cormack smiled at Mitchell stunned face and then see an Atlas WarBird fly into view "What's the play boss" I hear Jokers voice and turn my head and my heart stops. The whole world feels like it's in overdrive as I stare at the man that had my heart for what felt like the shortest but also longest moment of my life. I stood there in shock as we made eye contact but got pulled back to reality by Gideon's smiling.
