We pulled up at the station and headed past the crowds of students, to the castle. I had already retrieved Emily by now and we were heading up to the grand hall for the first-day-back Feast.

The feast was always the best part of coming back to school, other than the Quidditch matches. The feast was a time where all the houses joined together in school spirit. Well...Except the Slytherins. They just moped around in their usual Slytherin way.

We entered the hall and were greeted by an astounding roar of beauty. The ceiling was filled with an aurora of brightly lit candles and the tables were inhabited with an array of mouth-watering feasts. The stony walls were brought to life by the different house paintings. The Gryffindor Lion was roaring, with it's luscious mane swaying in the wind. The Hufflepuff Badger was scavenging for food at the bottom of an oak tree. The Slytherin snake was hissing at any potential victims walking past and slyly winding itself around a stone statue of a knight, with a set stare on the Slytherin table. And the Ravenclaw Eagle was circling the branch of a willow tree, defending its nest of unborn young and whistling the most delightful tune.

I didn't realise but I was completely zoned out and I was holding up the line. I was violently snapped back into reality by Emily's palm making lee-way with my cheek.

"OWW!!! BLOODY HELL, WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR!!!" I said with a angry tone,
rubbing my cheek.

Emily just smiled and evilly smirked back at my aggressive tone.
In return to that gesture I heartily punched her in the arm, only hard enough to leave a small bruise.

We continued on down the aisle and Emily and I parted away to our designated house tables. I sat down and was greeted by a wave of 'hello's' and 'welcome backs'. I sat next to Penelope Clearwater, she had been my friend since first year, we met in Hogsmeade. Actually to think of it now, we were fighting over the last sugar quill, it's funny how you make close friends.

All the students turned to face the podium were Dumbledore was standing, ready to give his "Back to school Address". I drifted off and started staring at the Gryffindor table, scanning all the new students. They were all arranged in year levels, the first years were closest to the teachers and the seventh years were closest to the entrance.

I scanned down the year levels and stopped when I reached the fourth years, Fred was amongst these few. He was siting with his twin, George. They were laughing and eating something I presumed to be chicken. I never noticed before but Fred was actually very similar to me, looks wise. He had a very white complexion and was covered in freckles. He also had those gorgeous, big, enticing eyes. The only difference in appearance we had was, he had fiery orange hair, and mine was a very dull blonde.

I never knew how nice he was before, it's funny, I've known him since first year but I've never actually talked to him before. He might be a twin, but he was far more attractive than George, he had that sort of dorky charm that I found incredibly endearing. I wish I had of become friends with him earlier.

Before I knew it Dumbledores speech was finished. I had spent a whole, thirty minutes fantasising about Fred. Its embarrassing how quickly I can fall for a guy. I only spent, maybe, two fun filled hours with him and I've already developed a crush.

I grabbed a piece of chicken before Dumbledore vanished the scraps. Then Little explosions of conversation filled the great hall. I looked over at Emily, she was sitting and chatting with Draco Malfoy. I was wondering when she was going to tell me about 'them'.. I already knew because of the train incident, but I wanted her to confess.

Suddenly Dumbledores Voice Boomed throughout the hall

"You may leave to your dormitories if you wish, or you may remain here, but be back to your rooms by 10 o'clock. Thank you and get well rested for studies tomorrow"

I glanced over at Emily who had risen from her seat and was leaving the hall. I quickly gathered my possessions and scurried out of my seat after her.

"See you Pen.." I said

"oh.. BYE!!" she yelled after me as I scurried away.

Emily was walking along the hall, amongst the other Slytherins, and I made sure to stay well behind. I caught a glimpse of Draco and her holding hands.

Every night Emily and I would meet in a certain part of the school, just before we went to bed just to tell each other a little run-down of our day. This spot was an abandoned classroom, conveniently located halfway between the Slytherin and Ravenclaw common rooms.

I watched as they started to enter the Slytherin common room, but Emily pulled away. Draco kissed her on the cheek and then she headed towards our classroom.

I wondered why Emily never told me about Her and Draco.. I mean, I wouldn't be upset with her or anything. We usually tell each other everything. But lately she has been acting strange. She would never usually keep something like this from me. It's weird. We don't communicate anymore. At that point I realised that I missed her. More than anything.
