"Ren!! Wake up!" I heard my sisters voice scream from downstairs. I groaned and covered my head with my pillow.

"Come on, get up! We're gonna be late!" Emily's voice grew louder as she came closer to my room. Finally, she burst through the door.

"Em, what are you going on about?" I asked sleepily. My voice noticeably muffled due to the pillow across my face.

"We'll

l be late!" Emily said again, urging me to get up.

"For what?" I asked groggily. I pulled my pillow off my head and propped myself up on my elbows. After rubbing my eyes and batting my hair out of my face, I opened my eyes. Emily was fully dressed, from head to toe in her Hogwarts attire, standing in the doorway.

"For the train!" Emily said

"Oh dear, has all that butter beer finally gone to your head Emily? It seems that little Emmie has forgotten the days of the week." I smirked at my little sister.

"Has not!!" Emily replied gradually becoming aggravated.

"Otherwise you would definitely know that today is Monday and that we don't leave for Hogwarts for another day, on Tuesday... Also that I pulled the same joke on you last Wednesday" I said in a matter-of-fact tone. "NOW LEAVE!!!"

Emily stormed out of the room grunting as she did so. I fell back on my pillow and was about to continue my interrupted slumber, when I heard..

"REN!! EMILY!! BREAKFASTS READY!!"

I grunted then heaved myself out of bed. I didn't bother properly dressing; I just padded my way downstairs in my blue pants and white singlet. I sat at the table only to be greeted by Mum placing a large plate of pancakes on the table, about 3 inches from my nose.

I glanced across the table at Emily, still in a foul mood, she was devouring her pancakes. I opened my mouth to talk to her when I hatched a more annoying plan. I stuffed my mouth full of pancakes; I could barely move my mouth without a big clump of pancake- syrupy goodness being flung half way across the table. I decided this was the optimum time to talk to Emily.

"Why such the rush Em?" I mumbled, through a mouth full of pancakes and as I did so, nearly all of the contents of my mouth were flung in Emily's direction. As I swallowed the remaining pancake pieces in my mouth, I started laughing so hard I felt as if I was going to rip in two.

Emily had a sour look on her face as she pursed her lips, then suddenly they broke into a smirk almost reaching ear to ear.

"Why am I in such a rush? Oh dear it seems as though little RenRen has forgotten the days of the week" she said in a mocking tone.

"I'm rushing because the third years are the ones arriving on Tuesday. But us now being forth years have to arrive today... I thought being a Ravenclaw, you would at least know the days of the week"

"Shoot..." I said to myself. I raced into the kitchen and grabbed my Hogwarts letter, it read;

-All forth years must arrive on Monday the 24th-

Damn! She was actually right. I looked at the clock it read 9:30. We usually leave for the train at 9:45. I bolted out of the kitchen, started up the stairs, taking two at a time and frantically started packing all I needed.

"Books: check
. Wand: check
. Spare clothes: check." I continued packing items and checking them off my mental checklist. I glanced at my watch, it said 9:40.

I stuffed the last of my possessions in my trunk, then raced to my wardrobe and yanked my robes of their hanger. I approached the mirror and started dressing, I quite liked my robes they weren't too long but they weren't too short either, and the material was awfully comfortable, the black sections were made with the finest, heavy, durable cotton, and the blue sections were made with the softest of silk. I brushed some dust of my Ravenclaw patch and proceeded out the door.

I dragged my trunk out of the door and bid my room farewell. I started heading down the stairs, my trunk making horrible noises as it crashed against the steps as I continued my descent. I reached the door and was greeted by Emily, with an I-told-you-so look on her face, and dressed in her oh-so prestige Slytherin robes.
