The Reality of Dreams - Poem

A little kid

Innocent and blind from all the darks in the world

Kind and an optimist

Lying in bed every night

Thinking what they would be in the future

They change their dreams

Like how they change their clothes

They think about their dreams every night

Wishing that their dreams would come true

Time goes by

They hold onto their dreams

Still believing that dreams do come true

But unknowingly the dreams that they hold onto are slipping from their grasp

Before they know it they'll have another dream that they wish would come true

Still with an innocent mind and kind hearts

Still believing that dreams do come true

Time passes by

The old innocent and kind kid was replaced by a grown up

A grown up, with a not so innocent mind

A grown up that are intoxicated by the darkness of the world

Without their consent, the dreams that they used to dreamed are gone

Gone like a wind

The dreams of the innocent little kid are now replaced by their selfishness

They try so hard to please themselves

That they forgot about everyone

They forgot their dreams that they once dreamed about

They tried so hard to reach their dream

And once they reached that dream they forgot what made them reached their dream

But if they failed to reach their dream

They'll be broken, to pieces

Devastated and they'll go weeping around the house all day

The realities of dreams are hard

Because not all dreams come true

And it's hard to accept that there are dreams that don't come true

And the dreams that don't come true are our dreams

It's hard to accept but once they don't come true

Giving up is not the answer
