The children woke early filled with excitement to see what Santa had left them, as we tumbled down the stairs the children ran into the parlour to see the tree were presents piled high and they were each set in separate piles with each persons name in front of them .
They opened their presents and went "ooo and aaa" at every thing they got and the things they were all happiest about were a picture of them with their father at the music festival all looking extremely happy .
When lunch came we all sat around the big dining table to our beautiful roast turkey dinner with all the roasts and trimmings , suddenly our house maid fräulein Mary came to the door and said "Maria sorry to disturb you , But there is a man at the door who wishes to see you " "how on earth does he know I live here" I said I went to the door and there stood was a man covered in a ripped old uniform and it was dripping wet .
"Maria" he said ...
" Georg is it really you" I cried an I ran into his arms and he hugged me tight , he was freezing cold and I pulled him inside, he then said " you've put on a bit of weight" I laughed and said " you know that magical night we spent togeather, well it ended up I'm pregnant!" He laughed too and said "that's wonderful, oh and merry Christmas" and out of the back of his uniform he pulled some mistletoe, and I kissed him as though I would never let him go !
I told him to go and sit in the parlour and then I would Bring the children through , I went and and told the children that someone had come to see them, they ran through to see there father sat beside the tree !
They All shouted "father" and ran towards him...
