"I'm sorry one more time"
This is the first time I've talked so long. Let alone to a guy.
I believe I heard that wrong. I know he didn't just ask me out... no no no that's not possible. He's been rude to me since I've got here. I looked over his appearance to make sure it was the same guy. From what I could tell he was the same bad ass that never spoke to me last year. I was knocked out of my daydream when he spoke again.
"I know I started off rude but I really would like to-"
"I'm sorry I can't handle this right now."
It was true. I had to leave fast. I could see the disappointment in his chocolate brown eyes. As I began to stand he grabbed me.
"Cara I said I'm sorry, please just give me a chance. I thought I was flirting with you and I'm sorry. Look Cara I really like you. Please please please just give me a chance."
He barely knows me. What kind of shit is that? Yeah I saw him around last year and he was a serious man whore. Plus he always hollered at the girls he messed around with. Which made me think. How many girls has he said this too? Something about this made me upset.
"Oh so all of a sudden you like a me? Last year you didn't say a damn word to me but all of a sudden you want to talk... I think not."
Did I just say that? Oh fuck, well now I'm sure he doesn't like me. I looked at his face and saw that he was just as shocked as I was. I felt really bad.
"I'm so sorry I didn't-"
I was cut off by laughter. His laughter. Why is he laughing?
"Cara!!! You snapped! Finally! I've been waiting to see you holler since last year."
He payed attention to me last year? He knew I existed? Wow..
"I like you more now knowing you talk. I didn't wanna be crushing on a girl that doesn't speak."
"How long have you liked me?"
"Since the beginning of last year."
"How come you've never said anything?"
He shrugs. "Scared I guess?"
Something about that was funny because I burst out laughing.
"You? Scared? Of me? Why?"
He took a step towards me. "I was just afraid to talk to a pretty girl like yourself."
"But you've talked to girls way prettier than me."
"No I haven't."
"You have."
"Nope."
I decided to give up on arguing with him. I wonder if that offer still stands.
"Hey Adam"
"Yeah?"
"Yes"
"Yes what?
"I'll go out with you."
The biggest smile I've ever seen spread across his face. He has a really gorgeous smile.
"How about now? It is almost lunch time. We can miss the end of this period. Just thirty minutes left."
"Just thirty minutes? Adam that's a lot."
"Oh come on."
He grabbed my hand and began pulling me.
I couldn't believe this was happening. First I talk to the school's bad boy and now I'm going on a date with him. Gosh its just the first day, but hey I'm not complaining.
