Stein X Marie

Together at Last

(Stein's POV)
I picked Marie up, ignoring the butterflies that appeared in my stomach, and carried her back to the DWMA and to the infirmary. As soon as I got there, Nigus ran up and took Marie. I saw her running towards a room, and then everything went black.

//time skip// (still Stein's POV)

I awoke to a soft feeling. I sat up quickly, instantly regretting it as a massive headache hit. I lay back down, trying to get the pain to go away. Just then, Nigus walked in with pain medication. I thanked her and took the medicine. Then, she looked at me and said, "Stein, Marie should be fine. She's recovering nicely. You can go visit her if you'd like." I thanked her and immediately walked to Marie's room. I found her gathering her things and preparing to leave the infirmary. I touched her shoulder and she practically touched the ceiling and whirled around. I chuckled and smiled at her. She gasped for breath and glared at me. "Don't scare me like that Stein!" I grinned and walked up to her. I pulled her into a hug and said, "I'll stop scaring you when you stop scaring me." And I kissed her.
