I was so nervous.Today was the day of my date with my crush of 5 years. I bumped into him a few days ago after not seeing him for a couple of years as I went to college and he toured the world with his bandmates.We went for a coffee together and caught up.We were really close before we left school but then he started a band with Brad,Connor and Tristan and I was in college so we grew apart. It was really nice to catch up with him and after our coffee he asked me out on a date.This was my dream come true so I obviously accepted the offer and we went our separate ways. Anyway James said he was picking me up at 6:30.I had a bath got changed into my long dark purple dress. I curled my hair and put on some light make up.
By the time I was ready I still had around 20 minutes so I flicked through Instagram and Twittter before I heard the familiar doorbell sound of mine and my best friends flat we shared.I opened the door to reveal James standing there handsome as ever. We got into his car and he drove towards one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.We sat down at a table in the middle of the restaurant which James had booked for us.The table decorations were amazing there were candles surrounding a small pot of flowers which was small enough that you could actually see the person sitting opposite you instead of some restaurants where you feel like there is half a tree between you and the person opposite you. We had a our starters I had chicken soup and James had tomato soup. We then both chose Lasagne as our main meals and I have to say it was one of the best meals I had ever tasted.It was amazing, James had definitely chosen the ideal place for a date the food was just fantastic. We then had our desserts James had Apple Pie and custard whilst I went for Cherry Pie and custard.There were lots of desserts which all sounded amazing but we just wanted something that we knew we could enjoy. We left the restaurant and we got back in James car.He drove towards my flat and pulled up outside
"Thank you for Tonight it was Amazing"
"Thank you" he said
We looked into each other's eyes and we both did what we knew we wanted, we leaned in and shared the most amazing kiss ever.It was only our first date but it just felt right and I was pretty sure there would be many more dates to come.
