Cassandra's POV
After walking inside from seeing that piece of shit, I went straight to my room, ready to bawl my eyes out. After I reached my room I shut and locked the door and went to my closet pulling out an olive green pullover sweatshirt, a pair of dark skinny jeans and got dressed. After getting dressed I fell to the floor putting my hands over my eyes.
"I hate him. I hate him, I hate him. He left me here knowing what Mike does to me, what Mike did to him too. He knew how it felt to be hurt and he just left me like he didn't even care about me." I continued to cry before I heard banging on my door.
"Open this fucking door you bitch." Chris must not be inside yet, or else he wouldn't be doing this. The banging got louder and faster before he broke my door and whipped it open. "What did I tell you about shutting your door! And not only did you shut it, you locked it!" Mike started storming towards me and I got up and started to try and run, but I had no way out. He got in my face and pushed me to the floor and then started to kick my ribs. I tried not to scream, but it got harder to hold it in. I let out a slight yelp and Mike pulled me up by my hair. "Shut the hell up or the whole neighborhood will hear, and so will your brother." Mike pulled his right hand back ready to slam his fist into my stomach but was interrupted.
"Hey Uncle Mike, where should I put my stuff?" Chris yelled from the living room. Mike pushed me onto my bed, my head slamming back against my headboard.
"Your old room is still empty Chris. I'll come help you bring your stuff up" Mike yelled out to Chris then turned back to me. "This isn't over." Mike stomped out of my room and I just laid in my bed, my head feeling like 100lbs. I felt dizzy but I didn't want to fall asleep, so I got up and started to walk around my room. I felt too dizzy and ended up falling to the ground, hitting my ribs the same place Mike kicked it. When I started to feel strong enough, I pulled myself up and stuffed my bed with pillows, making it look like it was me and climbed out of my window, slightly closing it, so it wasn't noticeable.

A few hours later
I walked myself to my own little hideout, it was an abandoned amusement park, nothing worked anymore, but it was nice to get away and hardly anyone knew about this place. I walked over to the Ferris Wheel and climbed into the bottom cart. I pulled my knees up to my chest and buried my head into my lap. I wanted to cry, but I felt like I've cried too much.
"Hey, you, are you okay?" I heard a deep voice yell, so I knew they weren't that close, but I looked up and saw a tall black haired guy walking toward me.
"Uh yea, I'm fine. I should get going." I started to get up, but the guy ended up blocking the little doorway of this cart.
"I didn't mean to chase you off, hey sit back down. It's always nice to meet new people." The guy said. I couldn't push the guy, he was like 10ft tall. And looked pretty strong. So I decided to sit back down.
"Maybe for you." I whispered under my breath. I hate meeting new people because eventually, they'll want to come to my house and Mike would not like that very much.
"What was that?" He responded before sitting across from me. "Did you say something?"
"Uh no, I didn't." I looked away, not really wanting to look at the guy.
"Well hi, my name is Daniel Johnson. Dan for short. And you are?" He held out his left hand waiting for me to shake it. I, of course, rejected the handshake so he pulled it back. "Not much of a talker I see." Daniel giggled a little.
"Cassandra. My name is Cassandra." I replied, glancing at him a little before quickly turning away again. "I should really be getting back.. My Uncle will be wondering where I am." I stated before climbing out of the cart. I heard running from behind me.
"Yea, I should be getting back too. I lived here until I turned 5, so I don't really remember most of this place, but my best friend grew up here and I came along with him to visit family. Would you mind if I walked with you for a bit?" Daniel asked getting closer to me.
"I mean I guess not.. But only a little bit. My Uncle doesn't like me around boys." I replied.
Daniel and I had been walking for about 10 minutes before I stopped and turned to him.
"And this is where we part ways. Bye Daniel." I turned my back to him and started towards my Uncle's house.
"What? No last name?" Daniel yelled after me and I just threw my hand up and waved to him.
