why was i so attracted to you?

you were the light and i was the stupid moth that chased after you.

you started to drink at eleven and cigarettes became your best friend at fourteen.

you filled your lungs with smoke and would drink bottle after bottle but no one would care.

your older brother was the one who taught you all of these bad habits. and since he did it, maybe you thought it was okay if you did too. 

you were the one to hold his cigarettes and he told you that you could light one up if you wanted to.

and you did.
