Mount mystic and it's secrets
The journey to mount mystic took at least 4 days of ride. We finally came to a stop as the sun began to set. We alight from the horses due to the jagged uneven rocky terrain which stretched across a yard or so. Block of ice caps and little snow settled on top of rocks. There are boulders of granite and basalt rocks overlapping them. In front, stood a huge like building but made out of rocks towering and reaching up the clouds. White snow mostly settled at the peak.
"Woah. You call this a mountain? It's hugee!" I exclaimed under my breath. A cold shiver ran through my spine.
"Hey we should hike up this mountain someday," Hyoyeon said sarcastically beside me and i ignored. Deep inside, i know hyoyeon was trying to insult me but i can understand why. It is partially my fault anyways.
"Keep moving guys. We'll find a cave. See if we could rest for the day. "
Donghae scratch his head, turning and turning over the map which folded inside the book, "The entrance should be somewhere hidden around-"
"There!" Jessica interrupt pointing over a huge cave entrance which doubled the size of a school bus.
"Nice," N whistled.
"Ok, on second thought, It is kinda creepy," Yuri said. I looked around to the side to see carvings of people's face on the stack of rocks. There were unfamiliar wordings and symbols written all over. Others were written on small stones lying everywhere. We approach towards the cave and settled a little deeper inside. I placed down my archery equipment down as well as my arrows while i strode off towards the nearest walls. I shone my torch light to the red-stained surfaced wall and tried reading the symbols and pictures which were carved out. Inside the cave, the walls and rocks scattered is much more smoother than the outside. Dirt filled the rocky terrain.
"We should camp overnight. By Tomorrow we should reach C.A.R.E.D or whatever it's called," Donghae announced.
"I'm getting really sick of riding horses," N gave a crack on his knuckles and brought over his horse and tied over a rock that was sticking out.
"Too bad it's the only way of transporting," Eunhyuk stretched his back and sat down on the soft ground.
I got too fond the readings on the walls that i went deeper inside. The pictures depicted the evolution of how a simple drawing of people turned into a mutant. There were also drawings such as deviants, animals from long ago, perhaps a theory on how the earth was once shaped. I gaped at the beautiful drawings. Is this what they call science? I'm guessing ancient people used traditional-made paints. It's a miracle how they could last.
Suddenly i heard a growling sound nearby me. I ignored thinking must be my rumbling stomach begging for food. I can't even look away for a sec.
"SEO! Behind you!" Kyuhyun shouted across. I spun and reacted quickly.
"Wha-?" In a blink of an eye, I dodged an attack and move to the side sending a mutant staggering towards the ground. It growled furiously as it got back up with a nasty one eye. The other eye apparently is hollow. Shredded t-shirt hung loosely on its shoulder, saliva dripping from its mouth. I yelped in horror and hurled backwards.
I screamed and turn. Then my legs brought me deeper into the cave. I stopped where 3 tunnels dispersed. I blindly took the right one as i hear the loud footsteps of a mutant. I felt a hand grabbed my uniform very hard as i stumbled. The chasing mutant also tripped upon me. I screamed at the top of my lungs and then swung my arms to shield from the incoming mutant but something struck it in the heart. I fell and blacked out.
More kept coming, snorting and hissing at the sight of them. Yuri who was about to take out the food to cook stopped and reached for her knives, pistols and her gloves. N readied his Compound bow which was equipped with red light target.
