Chapter 20

The battle for mystic (PART 2)

I huffed and puffed. I charged towards the beast as it made its way into the gate. Suddenly, i realized he was 5 times taller than me.

"Hey there! You ignoring me?" I round off and shot an arrow, piercing right through his skin at his biceps. But it was nothing compared to him. There was no oozing blood. I frowned. The beast halted and his head slowly turns into my direction. His eyes were red and his breath were heavy. As if he was about to blow.

And yes he is.

The monster growled angrily and thumped his hard chest. He lifted off a huge rock from the debri and it landed a few inches behind me. I yelped and gallopped away. However the thing just got a new objective. Killing me.

"Need a hand?" hyoyeon bumped into me.

Breathless, i nodded out of desperation. "He's damn strong, hyo. I ran out of ideas."

"I'll take on," Hyoyeon balanced herself as our horse circled around him a mile far. She pulled out an M-16 and fired directly towards the heart of his chest.

It created a hole but the thing stared mockingly at us as if its smirking. The skin recovered immediately.

"We're doomed.."

An explosion rattled the area and huge and pieces of rock flew like meteorites. A large one which was on fire hit the giant at its left shoulder and the thing roared in agony and fell on its knees. Its , stained with red and black burned.

"Fire.. This guy's weakness is Fire!" i yelled out immediately.

"I noticed that too!"

"Im striking my last red arrow. Get everyone away from the beast. I'll try to distract it before giving the signal," I spoke, breathless.

Ok, Let's see what you have, big guy. I rounded off the corner and spun the horse around towards it. Half way, i disables the beast with a green arrow, making it drowsy and sluggish. Jumping from the horse, i pulled 2 arrows and blinded its eyes.
Damn it. Stay still.

It thrashed angrily. I hung onto its neck as it swung around, covering its eyes in agony. Just in that moment the mist cleared and i spotted hyoyeon looking afar for me. I nodded after her. I jump away and released my arrow. It blasted into bright orange flames, throwing me much more further. I landed on the ground hard. My bow broke and my jacket ripped. Blood oozed out. I yelped and quickly reached for something to help stop the oozing.

Something invisible lifted me off the ground before a mutant scrambled towards me. It was just inches between me and thing but it got blasted into bits before i landed onto human arms.

"Hey reckless."

"Sorry," I sighed as he brought me down and pulled out a handkerchief. He did a quick healing which stopped the oozing. The wounds closed a little. Then, His black handkercheif tied securely onto my arm. "At least i saved the city," i tried to assure him.

He nodded,"Great job."

Another boom shook the ground as static electricity crackled behind. The main power source was down. The power station was located a few miles before the great wall. The lights in the city went out in an instance leaving only the sunlight to lit the city. However, it was dim due to the ashes in the sky.

"Help, kyuhyun! Yoona's unconscious!" Appearing from the foggy mist, Donghae dragged her with one arm on her shoulders as Yoona's messy hair fell, covering her face. "I found her near the pathway across the street. She must have woken up after i left and fainted or knocked her head."
