"I don't know what made me think of this but today, all I was thinking of was the past. I went to school at Woodbridge for elementary. There was this one tree near the playground and the area of the swings. A bench went all around the tree. My best friend and I would always go there during our recess in first, second, and third grade. We called the tree the last name of one of our teachers because that's where we always went when we had her as our teacher. This was our favorite tree and we did everything over there. If I were to go back to Woodbridge and see this tree and bench, I would probably just sit down and think of all the memories. My best friend and I saying goodbye to our other best friends as they moved out of states. My best friend and I always running to the swings because we adored swinging around. Around this time, we were all little kids with a wonderful imagination of every little thing. We knew what we wanted to be when we grew up, a teacher, or a chef. We talked to our best friends about growing old together. Most of the kids at school had a best friends necklace because it was so easy making friends then. At the age of seven, eight, and nine, we were full of life. There was nothing that was horrible to us. As we started to grow up, as we left schools or moved away, our personalities changed. Everything we did changed. In elementary school, I was a quiet little girl who could finish five magic tree house books in a day. Reading was my favorite thing because we were too young for phones. I didn't know what drama was because I never had any. The only fights that were had was a small argument about a little thing with a friend that makes no sense and probably seems stupid nowadays. Growing up has made us change. We started realizing what happens on the streets. We notice that everyone around us has a story to tell whether it is good or bad. The one thing that I know for sure is that we can't let our young selves disappear forever. Be naive every once and awhile. Keep your imagination, love everyone around you. Don't lose your innocence. Be who you are and don't lose sight of that person. Try to be the person that you dreamed of being as a little kid. We are all going to go through heartbreak and losses but how we let it get to us is the most important thing. Let everything go. Let yourself be broken even though it will hurt. Let yourself cry every once in awhile, you are a human. Realize that everyone makes a mistake and that the key to being happy is by loving yourself. Don't forget who you aspire to be."
