Chapter 2: Park Publicity and Flashbacks

Chapter Two

**Annabelle's POV**

Louis blind folds me as soon as we reach his car. Its nothing new, he always takes me on surprise dates. Honestly I enjoy the secretiveness and think it is cute. Lou tries doing everything he can to make this relationship half normal, but it never will be.

I frown but quickly turn it into a smile. I cant risk Louis seeing Im upset, he always gets upset when Im sad. Usually he interrogates me and then flips a lid when he finds out its hate, which it usually is. This time it is different though, I just want this relationship to be slightly normal without hate mail and the papparazzi following me wherever I go, trying to find something to turn against me.

I miss the normal life but I wouldnt change anything from how it is now. I wouldnt leave Louis because of this if my life depended on it. It probably does, the papparazzi are capable of many things. It has already happened a few times. They take pictures of me with my brother and suddenly I'm cheating on Lou.

"Earth to Annabelle" Louis suddenly snaps his fingers, making me jump. I realize that Louis has stopped the car and has already removed the blindfold. In front of me was a giant park.

"Oh my gosh I love the park!" I hop from the car and full on sprint to the swing set.

Louis arrives quickly after me with a huge grin on his face. "Whats up mister happy pants!" I giggle. He chuckles as well.

"I knew the park would make you feel better!" he smiles. He has such a perfect smile.

"OHMYGAWD its like totally Louis fricking Tomlinson!" a bubbly brunnette shouts. Soon enough mobs of fangirls and papparazzi are surrounding the swing set.

"Do you want to leave or can I sign a few things. Its your choice darling" Louis whispers into my ear. I wanted this to be us time but I would feel controlling if I dont let him. Plus the fans will probably begin to hate me more. Therefore there is only one choice.

"You can sign a few things. Ill go over to the slides. Meet me there in a few moments?" I smile before walking away.

I go down the big swirly green slide first. This brought back the memories of my mum. A few weeks before she had been killed by a drunk driver she took me here.

~FLASHBACK~

"Mummy wait at the bottom of the slide and catch me!" I giggled. I was six years old at the time. My mum had taken me to the park for a day out.

"Okay darling I'm down here!" she held her hands out, prepared to catch me. I jumped down the slide and went down quickly. I laughed the whole way down. As I exited my mum flew back and I landed on top of her. We both laughed for quite a while until we had to leave.

~FLASHBACK OVER~

A single tear fell from my eye as I remembered that. I miss her... a lot. I was so young but a stupid man had to go get drunk in the middle of the day and crash into her. Why did it happen to her?

"Annabelle! Over here!" an unknown voice shouts. I turn my head as cameras flash.

Great another story to soon be in the magazines. I turn my head to quickly wipe away the tears that fell and look back. I smile towards the camera and even make a few funny faces. I knew management wouldn't approve of this but I didn't care. They can't do anything about it, could they?

"Hey get away from her! Could you guys just rest it please. Annabelle come here darling," Louis joggs towards me. He sets his hand on on my shoulder and flashe a smile towards the camera as well. Then he unexpectedly kisses me. The papparazzi snap pictures before it could end.

"Its time for me to get ready for the meeting. Are you ready to leave?" he whispers into my ear.

"Yes," I answer. We wave to the rest of the people before exiting to the car. I jump onto Louis' back as we walk to the car. Im suddenly in a good mood again.

He sets me down when we reach the car. I climb in and we drive away silently. The whole ride is quiet except for a few words exchanged. I can tell Louis is nervous about what management need to talk to him about and I was still upset from the memory of my mother.

We get home and go into the flat Louis was currently staying in so he can get ready to go. I had a few clothes stashed in case I spent the night. Louis somehow convinces me to dress into a skirt and blouse to impress mangaement a little more. Im pretty sure Simon was the only one who slightly approves of me. I didnt care what others thought though, its like lyrics from my favorite song, Wings by LIttle Mix. I wont let what they say bring me down, no matter what they say it wont hurt me. Yeah I changed a few we's and us's to me but it does fit the situation.

I pulled on a white skirt and flowery blouse... when did I buy this outfit anyway? "I see you found the outfit I bought you a few days ago!" well there's the answer to that.

"Yup. Are you prepared to go?" I slip on white beaded sandals and walk towards him. My hair was naturally curly so it already looked good and I hate make up so I was ready to leave.

Louis nods and take my hand leading me to the door. "After you m'lady." He says opening the door.

"Why thank you." I say laughing. He follows me out , closing and locking the door behind us.

He opens the door to the car for me then climbs in himself. The whole ride is silent. Louis keeps one hand on the wheel and the other one holding mine, occasionally squeezing it lightly trying to comfort me.

You can tell we're both nervous about this meeting. Management never usually has meetings with just one member of the band and usually they don't ask the girlfriends to come.

Sure they invite me and the girls along sometimes but this is different, they told me I need to be there.

I tap my foot nervously as I look out the window. Syco records is getting closer and closer as I get more nervous.

Finally Louis stops the car and we climb out. He holds my hand as we walk towards the big building looming before us.

Before we go in Louis turns to look at me. I look into his beautiful blue eyes, even though we've been dating for a while I still get lost in his eyes.

"Don't be nervous." He says.

"I'm not." I lie and flash him a smile. He leans down and kisses me sweetly before looking at me once again.

"Ready?" He asks. I simply nod my head and together we walk into the building trying to be confident.
