I'm laying on the sand on a beach in Florida. The sun's shining down on me, but it's not to hot. Perfect tanning weather. The sound of the waves crashing on to the shore sounds comforting. There's not really anyone else there. Some younger kids and their parents, and a group of teenage boy's. I'm looking out into the water, hoping to see dolphins, but I'm interrupted by some one sitting down beside me. Looking over I see it's one of the boys from the group. I smile at him, taking in his beautiful features. Dark tan skin, curly brown hair, a nice set of abs, and gorgeous hazel eyes. "Can I help you?" I ask sweetly. "Yes." he says in a lovely deep voice "I was wondering if-" he stops mid sentence to clear his throat, with a small smile and a light blush he stars over. Except, this time, his voice is different. "GET OUT OF BED!!!!! NOW!!!! HURRY UP, YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!!!
I'm snapped back to the real world. My head was pounding, and my mom was screaming up the stairs at me. "Ugh.... ALRIGHT!!!! I'M UP!!!!!" I yell back to her, getting out of bed. My mom and I had a very vocal relationship.
I go to my bathroom to get ready for school. Dammit. I think Why did she have to wake me up. That was such a nice dream. I look in the mirror at my hair, shaking alittle because it was cold. I couldn't believe that I left my window open all night. Shivering, I brush my teeth, then walk into my room, getting dressed for the day. I put on a pair of skinny jeans, and a Alesana tee-shirt. Then I fix my hair in my usual straight, teased syle.
Heading down stairs, I grab my purse from the steps. My moms in the kitchen, making breakfast for herself. "Jenna, you really need to get up earlier-" "I know Mom, we go over this every day." I say, cutting her off. "Well you shouldn't have stayed at Lilly's house so late." she says to me. I think back to the party Lilly had at her house last night and smile. She won't do anything though. I'm the only kid at my house since my brother left for collage two years ago, so I'm pretty spoiled.
I grabbed my key's out of the basket on top of the fridge and walk out. Going over to my car, I sigh as I get in it. It's a '79 Trans Am. Bright red, with black racing stripes. Pulling out of the garage, I pressed play on the Cd player. It starts playing The Way of the Fist, by Five Finger Death Punch, my favorite band. I drove to school, which didn't take long.
Pulling into the student parking lot, I got several smiles from the guy's passing by. They loved my car. It was the best in the school, so I've been told several times every week. I got it for my 17th birthday a few months ago. I found the keys wraped up at my seat at the dinner table that morning.
It was the best day of my life so far.
I walked in to school, saying hello to some friends. Getting into my locker, I pulled out my books for first period, then went to homeroom. I sat down just as the bell rang, and Lilly came over and sat down beside me. "Wow. You look like crap. You shouldn't have drank so much 'punch' last night." "Well if someone would have told me it was spiked, I wouldn't have even drank it." I said to her. "Now that's a lie. You know I know you better than that." she replied. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier." She smiles at me, one which I return. "It's fine." I tell her.
The class quieted down while the teacher took attendance. Once he was done, Justin walked over to us. "Hey, Jess and I are having a party at our house tomorrow night. I was hoping that you two would come to it." he says "Well..." Lilly says, "Jenna's pretty beat from my party-" she stops mid-sentence, because I shot her a dirty look. Justin was my best guy friend, and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I kinda figured that Lilly didn't want to go because of Jess, but I didn't care, because Justin looked really sad when she said this. "Please???? For meeee????" he whined while he gave us a puppy pout that made my heart melt, and I knew it had the same effect on Lilly.
"Of course, we'll go for you JJ." I said. At the mention of my old nickname for him, his pout turned into a genuine smile "Yay!! I'll tell Jessie!!!" he said, skipping off. "Man, sometimes I wonder about that boy. Are you sure he's not gay?" Lilly asks, grinning. "Yes, I'm sure. Jeez." I reply with a grin or my own. The bell rang, and we left for first period. Saying our goodbye's and promising that we'd meet up for lunch, we went our seperate ways.
I sat in first period history, (ugh why do they have to make first period so boring. I mean honestly, it's the morning. History just makes people even more tierd) thinking about how I could maybe slip out. Fake being sick? No. The nurse would just send me home. Leave for the bathroom and never go back? No, the stupid teacher would send one of her pet's after me. Gawd, I hate teachers pets. They suck monkeys. Finally, I just decided to sit and replay my dream over and over. Who was that boy? Man, I wish I knew. I think., and I could thank my Nonni (grandma) for that.I doubt it if I'd ever meet him. I had no idea then how wrong I was.
