A Week Later
It's now been a week and this week is when little Scarlett will finally see the world and... I'll be a mom! I'm nervous about this whole situation obviously but I've gained some confidence from my friends and family.
I'm hanging out with my friends and my parents then I go up to get a drink but something happened... "Oh shit...! My... my water broke!" I yell to everyone. "Oh my god! We have to get to the hospital!" My mom says running to me. I'm groaning in severe pain and I feel like I'm being tortured. "Mom... it hurts *yell in pain* it fucking hurts!" I say starting to tear up.
My mom puts me in her car along with Courtney, everyone else gets in their own cars and we start to head off to the hospital to have Scarlett. We get to the hospital and they bring me to a special place in the hospital for women to give birth to babies. I get in the hospital gown they gave me and I "settle" in the bed. As I'm laying there the doctor says that it'll be at least two hours until the baby's ready to be born.As we're waiting until Scarlett's ready to be born, the hour that already went by felt like an eternity. The contractions were the worst part about it!
The second hour goes by and Scarlett's about to be born! I'm screaming in absolute pain as I push as hard as I can. "Push! Push! I can see the head. Keep pushing Theresa." I hear the doctor say. I keep pushing until her head is completely out.
I do one last final push and... she's fully out. She's entirely in the world. My friends start to get teary eyed and my mom is crying. Scarlett's here... my little angel... she's finally here...! And I'm now an official mommy! They clean Scarlett off and wrap her up in a blanket and hand her to me. "Hi sweetie... this is your mommy... I already love you very much... and I promise I'll never let anything happen to you... I promise."
