Chapter Two- Birthday

The next morning was Friday, the last day of school for a weekdays. Aubrey and Bethany woke up with an empty mind about the talked with the principal.

"Got something?"asked Aubrey.

"Nothing..." signed Bethany.

"Well today IS your mother's birthday, so the answer should be no, right?" Aubrey waited for Bethany to answer, but instead of answering, she got dressed and went downstairs.

"Where's mom?" asked Bethany.

"At the cemetery to see..." Ethan stopped.

"Dad...." Bethany whispered.

Their father had died 9 years ago, when Bethany was 5.

"So what's for breakfast?" Larry changes the subject." Pancakes?"

"I'm not hungry. Bye." Bethany left to school.

"Wait for me!" Aubrey rushed downstairs and followed Bethany to school.

"What do you want?!" Bethany kept walking.

"Look I know how you feel like, Bethany but-" Bethany stopped her.

"How could you expect me to move on like that?" Bethany said.

"Look you're way stronger than I am and I moved on which means you can too, Bethany. Aubrey.

"But... sorry." Bethany was apologizing.

"It's fine let's just tell the principal our answer." Aubrey kept walking

"Would you forgive me? Friends forever? " asked desperately Bethany.

"Friends forever, Beth. Come on let's go to school." said Aubrey.

When they got to school they went to the principal and told him, "Sorry but we don't feel like teaching bad students how to be a good one plus it's Bethany's mother's birthday and we wouldn't want to miss that." the principal wasn't that happy but he let them go since it was Friday.

When the girls got home from school, they got dressed up and got Mrs. Nell's present.

"Happy birthday mom!" Everyone said except for Aubrey witch she didn't had parents since last year, so she didn't know what to do.

"Aubrey, honey, are you OK?" asked Mrs. Nell.

"Yeah, I'm fine trust me." Aubrey smiled.

"Well time for the cake!" shouted Ethan.

"Yeah!" everyone shouted happily.

The party went on until 12:00 a.m.. Then they went to sleep.
