I Nerd You, You Nerd me

Chapter Three - Looking into Plastic Cups

       Now you've got to understand that i'm not predjudice or anything along those lines but when a five foot eight man, who plays dungeons and dragons, named Edwin and is extremely odd, says it's a wild party, you might think his variation of wild runs a different course. Like a course that runs down the lines of ten fully grown, bearded men in costumes passing around a wine-cooler and saying they're drunk, while trying to save the princess after a sip.

           That could just be me thinking though.

           My thoughts were wrong.

      The little blue toyota had made a few turns while I was off thinking of what I thought Edwin's wild party was. We were into a subdivision, rural area instead of being in the cozy downtown section we had been. Cars littered the driveway and along the sides of the street. You could hear the vibrations and hum of music erupting from the house. Shadows of people dancing and mingling. 

            I was totally wrong.

          And absolutly scared.

      I'd never been to a party before really.  Not this kind, I mean sure some people here and there talking and hanging out. No alcohol or bunchs of different people flirting and drinking. I opened the door nervously looking at the two story house luminess with lights.

       Kyle and Edwin waited for me up ahead, their glances sinking into me across the grass.  When I reached them they both looked at me oddly, the darkness surrounding us making their contorted faces even stranger.

     " What's wrong?"

      Kyle voice boomed next to me, both his and Edwin's faces looked worried.

   Cold grass tickled my feet unpleasantly, I couldn't help but look down, I could feel embarrasement already.    " I've never been to a party like this.." my voice trailing off slightly," I'm just nervous now i suspose."

    Edwin and Kyle smiled kindly. " I'll take you back to your dorm if you feel uncomfortable if you want? I Promise we don't have to be here long." Edwin's voice was kind next to Kyle's.

     " You're perfectly safe with us, if someone bothers you, just tell us. It will be fun. Your first Colledge party, and it's with us. Why we are honered!" I could just sense the smile's they had. Looking straight ahead and I nodded and smiled.

      Edwin walked behind me and Kyle infront of me as we walked through the jammed door way. The sent of alcohol wasn't as prominent as I thought it would be, but it was still there. Everyone had plastic cups in their hands. Everyone also looked like they were having a good time. A few familliar faces from my classes popped up as I look around.

     My hand latched onto Kyle's shoulder as people squeezed by. He smiled gently. " Don't be scared young padewon." I couldn't help but laugh.

     A slightly brawny male with short semi-spiked hair waved at the guys. Edwin leaned in from behind me.    " He's our friend and hosting the party, common and meet him." I nodded.

     I wasn't like the music was as loud that we couldn't hear ourselves thinking but it was loud enough in some areas of the party that you did have to speak quite loudly. Like now.

     The brawny male that had waved at us was now infront of us. He was about as tall as Kyle, which i'm guessing is five foot eleven and had deep brown eyes,and a really obnoxius laugh.

      " Hey Edwin, Kyle, glad you could make it!," He clasped them both on the shoulders momentarily, then his gaze drifted to me standing slightly behind them trying to hide myself. " And you've brought a girl! Who might this little lady be?" He winked at me, I smiled shyly back in response. No need to be rude.
