(Rydel's POV)
I was in the kitchen with Mom, Lori, Vanni, Alexa, Courtney and Julianne. It was Saturday and we were all baking cookies. Ryland walked in with my brothers, Derek and Dad behind him. I put the cookies in the oven and we all cleaned up. Then we stood in the kitchen just talking.
Riker- Ryland?
Ryland- Yeah?
Riker- You ok? You seem kinda distant
Ryland- Oh sorry and yeah I'm ok....actually I'm not
Lori- Whats wrong?
Ryland- If I tell you promise you won't get all dramatic and in Rydel's case giggly
Rydel- Wha..? Hey! I am not giggly
Ell- Yeah you are
Rydel-(scoffs) Whatever
Everyone- We promise
Ryland- Well, lately I have been thinking about Savannah...a lot
Stormie- Well I can't say I'm surprised I mean I've seen the way look at her, I can tell you like her
Ross- Yeah but what about Kacie?
He sighs and looks down.
Rydel- What?
Ryland- Thats the thing, I really like Kacie and I love being with her...but at the same time, I think I'm slowly falling in love with Savannah
Alexa- Really?
Ryland- Yeah it's crazy
Vanni- You know what is crazy?
Ryland- What?
Vanni- Falling for a person you never thought you'd fall for
She looks at Riker and they smile at each other. He sighs again.
Ryland- I know, I mean I remember the day I first met Savannah, she was struggling to carry these boxes so I ran over across the street to her and took them off her.. I think the first thing I said to her was, "Need some help?", she said Yes please and I took them and carried them inside then came back out and got to talking with her which led to us planning a day out for me to show her around LA...since then we got closer and became best friends who know everything about each other, back then she was just a random 16- year old country born girl who had moved across the street, now she's this amazing, beautiful, caring, full of life girl who I love more than anything and when I'm with her, I feel different than when I'm with Kacie, when I'm with Savannah, I feel like myself, like I can tell her anything and I always no matter what, I always smile when I'm with her... I feel like I could be with her forever and never get bored, she makes every day better and always manages to make me feel better, I can't be upset when I'm with her... I'm someone else, someone better when I'm with her
We all smile at him and he looks at us confused.
Ryland- What?
Rydel- Ryland, your not falling in love.. You are in love
Ryland- What? No I'm not
Court- Ryland you literally just described what could be one of the sweetest things I've ever heard...you just confessed how you really feel about Savannah, it's clear to see that you love her
Ryland- But, I couldn't fall in love that quickly could I?
Julianne- Answer this question
Ryland- Ok
Julianne- What about Savannah makes you smile?
Ryland- Where do I start? Her smile, her laugh, how she doesn't care what people think, her cute little country accent, how she's herself all the time and doesn't change for anyone, the way she talks so passionately about music, her hometown or things she loves in general, how she's so natural, how she will wear whatever she's comfortable in and not dress how other people want her to, how big her heart is and how caring and thoughtful she is, I could go on, everyone about Savannah makes me smile...
We all smiled at what he said and looked at him. Then he went quiet. He was silent and looked down for a few seconds then his face changed in surprise and he looked at us.
Ryland- Oh My God, I'm in love with Savannah
Stormie- Yep and you've got it bad
He smiled and looked deep in thought. The rest of the night was normal but all that was on everyone's mind was the Future. How it could change? What will happen tomorrow?
It was a mystery but I was pretty sure it would be a happy ending.
Little do I know, how well it will end! <3
