(Ryland's POV)
I walked into the kitchen and everyone from last night was there. I stood next to Rocky and Derek. They all looked at me like they were waiting for an answer. So I gave them one.
Ryland- I'm gonna do it today, I'm going to tell Savannah how I really feel
Derek- That's awesome
Stormie- What are you going to do about Kacie though?
Ryland- I'm going to see how it goes with Sav first and if she shoots me down well at least I won't be single and shot down
Alexa- But do you even love Kacie?
Ryland- I like her?
Mark- That shouldn't be said as a question
Ryland-(sighs) I don't know, I mean she's fun to hang out with
Lori- I think that you see Kacie more of a friend and Savannah more as a possible girlfriend
Ryland- Yeah I think your right, I mean who am I kidding? We've only had like four dates and they weren't even great anyway
Stormie- Just go and tell her how you really feel
Ryland- Yeah I am and I'm gonna break up with Kacie as well
I said goodbye and walked out of the kitchen. I walked over to the front door and opened it. As I walked out I saw Savannah walking across the road and onto our lawn. She walked up the driveway to the porch where I sat down on the steps. She joined me.
She was wearing shorts, a black tank top, gladiator type sandals and her hair was wavy and long laying just past her shoulders. Her skin was tanned and she wore short false white nails. She was beautiful. Then I came back to reality.
Sav- Ryland?
Ryland- Yeah?
Sav- Are you ok? It's just you've been staring at me for the past two minutes
Ryland- Sorry I guess I got a bit distracted, it's just I need to tell you something and it's not exactly easy because it could either end in a good way or a bad way
Sav- Why? Whats up?
I sighed calmly and take hold of her hands. We both sit sideways and look at each other face to face.
Ryland- Lately, I have been developing feelings for you...Sav..I think I'm in love with you
Sav- Wow, I mean woah
Ryland- I know it's a shock but I couldn't keep it quiet any more, I needed to tell you, Savannah, we've been friends for so long and along the way I fell in love with you, I don't know how, I don't know why, I just did
Sav- I can't believe this, I mean does Kacie know?
Ryland- No but she will, I'm breaking up with her today
Sav- Well Good...because I love you too
Ryland- What?
Sav- Ryland, I'm in love with you too, I didn't say anything because I was scared that it would ruin our friendship and plus your dating Kacie but now you just told me that you love me and I don't know I guess that it was a shock because I wasn't expecting it
Ryland- Wait? So we're like two friends in love?
Sav- Yeah I guess we are
Ryland- Well then in that case, Savannah Hudson, will you go out on a date with me?
She smiled.
Sav- Of course I will
I smiled back at her. It happened. I only found out that I loved my best friend last night and now I was going on a date with her. I squeezed her hand. She leant forward and whispered in my ear.
Sav- Pick me up 7 and don't be late
Ryland- I'd never make my princess wait
Sav- I'm not your princess...yet
She leant back and smiled bigger. I did the same because of how cute she was being. She stood up and let go of my hand.
Sav- See you tomorrow Lynch
Ryland- Bye
Then she turned and walked away. I sat there for a while after that amazed of what juat just happened. I had confessed my true feelings to my best friend and there was no going back. I could of actually find my soulmate.
I really did.
