How can someone so beautiful
Be so fragile and breakable
How can someone so smart
Be falling apart
She's locked behind iron bars
Because she hides her unwanted scars

Thought she found the one
The search was over, she had won
Until one afternoon while she was asleep
He stole her innocence
He was a thief
Sitting in that bedroom all alone
Not knowing where to go
Not wanting to go home
She panicked in fear
Her mind switched gears
Wanting punishment for letting him do that to her
She grabs a knife and begins to hurt

How can someone so beautiful
Be so fragile and breakable
How can someone so smart
Be falling apart
She's locked behind iron bars
Because she hides her unwanted scars

She's doing fine with hidden old ways
Didn't she know memories fade
But when he enters her mind at night
She still thinks she'll be alright
But when it happens for weeks at a time
Then she realizes she isnt fine

How can someone so beautiful
Be so fragile and breakable
How can someone so smart
Be falling apart
She's locked behind iron bars
Because she hides her unwanted scars

Don't you see I don't wanna be fixed
I like my old ways my old tricks
Why does it bother you
If I bleed, it's my fix.
What if I told you that I have lied
I tried to forget I really tried
Sometimes I wish I could die....

How can someone so beautiful
Be so fragile and breakable
How can someone so smart
Be falling apart
She's locked behind iron bars
Because she hides her unwanted scars
