"Are you okay?" I ask, even though I already know the answer.
"I just need to see you. I'm outside of the dorms." he tells me and hangs up. That's kinda creepy. That he's already outside of the dorms. I didn't tell him I lived here.
"I'll be right back, Ayden." I tell him and walk towards the door.
"Where are you going?" he shouts to me.
"To take care of something." I shout back and walk out of the room.
I'm nervous to see Zach. He just came from the pub, so he's probably drunk, like Ayden. He's probably also really beat up. Should I have taken Ayden with me for protection? What if Zach does something like he did back in England before I left?
I get downstairs and walk outside to see Zach standing out here, smoking a cigarette.
"What are you doing here?" I ask with no emotion as he turns to face me. He looks fine, not drunk or beaten up. "Wait." I take a step towards him to see him in better light and closer up. "Why aren't you bleeding? Or... stumbling?" I ask.
"I see you've talked to Ayden." He says, taking another puff of his cigarette.
"He's up in my room." I say, crossing my arms.
"Let's just say that he started something that he couldn't finish." Zach tells me as he puts out the bud of his cigarette. I look down at his knuckles to see that they're all bloody and cut up, yet not one cut or bruise on his face.
"Wait a second, Ayden told me you started the fight." I try and clarify.
"Oh, Molly, you're so naive." He says, stepping closer to me, putting his hand up touching my cheek. "He came to the pub I was in and started yelling at me, saying some stuff about you and how you're his and always will be. All I said was that he's not always right. He threw the first punch; I blocked it and got him on the floor." Zach explains to me.
"Wow, unbelievable." I say, shaking my head.
"I just came here to say that I'm sorry... for everything. I was such an ass that I forgot what a beautiful girl I had right in front of me." He says, caressing my cheek. "I'm not asking for you back, I'm asking if you could be my friend again." he says and I nod my head.
"Sure." I say, smiling.
"Thank you." he says and pulls me in for a hug and I wrap my arms around his waist.
"I better get back up to Ayden." I say, pulling away. "Call me next time you're in LA." I smile at him and he nods.
When I get back up to my room, Ayden is sound asleep in my bed. I decide to go back to sleep also, so I sleep in Faith's bed since she isn't here.
When I wake up, Ayden is gone. I get up from the bed and dial his number.
"Ayden, we have to talk." I say before he can talk.
"What about?" he asks.
"Last night. I saw Zach and he told me-"
"You saw Zach?!" he's yelling at this point.
"Yes, but-"
"No." he cuts me off. "I don't want to hear it. I told you I didn't want you seeing him." he almost yells.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you're not the boss of me, Ayden? All he did was tell me what happened last night and asked if we could be friends. I said yes." I explain.
"You said yes?" he sounds confused. "How could you do this?"
"He was honest with me, Ayden." I defend Zach.
