Trigger Warning: Non fatal sleeping pill overdose, hallucinations and suggestions of a panic attack. Section taking place in a hospital, lots of tears and general sadness. This is not a happy chapter.
Okay, so in this chapter there is a section which is all warped and strange looking with different font sizes and stuff. However, wattpad is boring and doesn't allow these sorts of configurations in their chapters so I have provided a link to a tumblr post containing images of this part of chapter 8 so you can all enjoy it in its full glory. Don't worry if you don't have tumblr, you don't need it to view the images. The link will be at the bottom of the page and I'll put in another marker in the story when the section pops up
Also please note: I am not a medical doctor nor am I knowledgable about treatments for, well anything really. So I'm terribly sorry if there are any med students etc. reading this who are cringing at how inaccurate my descriptions of certain procedures are. Most of what I wrote in the way of medicine was just something vaguely logical that fitted well to the storyline.
Dan lay in bed, a relaxed smile spread across his face. He opened his eyes, his expression immediately changing to disappointment as he realised he was no longer in Phil's arms but in his bedroom, staring at his dank, white-grey ceiling. He closed his eyes again, willing his body to fall back to sleep but it was no use. After a little over an hour of tossing and turning he gave in, getting up to go and fill the angry pit that was crying out in his stomach. Dan grabbed some cereal, not really wanting to waste time making a cooked breakfast. His hand shook as he attempted to pour some Shreddies into a bowl, causing the cereal to scatter over the counter. Why was he shaking so much? And he usually never had this much of a hollow feeling in his stomach when he awoke. Then it dawned on him, he hadn't eaten at all yesterday. In fact he hadn't eaten at all since breakfast around Thursday noon - it was now Saturday. Dan froze, a little shocked that he had managed to go on for so long neglecting a vital function, but quickly brushed it off, returning to his breakfast.
He ate slowly, not wanting to make himself sick after not eating for so long. After he finished Dan moved to the bathroom, deciding he should probably take a shower before he went out on his mini mission. He was going to go to the shops and buy some sleeping pills. Hopefully they would fix his problems getting to sleep and potentially make him drowsy enough to lengthen his sleep time that little bit more, cutting down the hours he would have to wait before he could sleep again. Dan turned on the shower, looking in the mirror as he waited for the water to warm up. His face was pasty and sunken in, his eyes looking abnormally hollow. He poked around a bit, noticing a couple pimples close to his hairline on his forehead, something he hadn't experienced in months. He swiped down at his hobbit hair, attempting to straighten it out into his usual side fringe, pulling his hands away almost immediately and looking down at the greasy shine covering his fingers. When was the last time he had washed his hair?
Dan quickly found himself drifting off into his mind, something he had been doing a lot lately, shaking his head in an attempt to snap himself back into reality as his subconscious realised just how steamed up the bathroom was becoming. He panicked, turning on the cold tap and hoping that there would still be enough hot water left for PJ after he had finished his shower. Dan stumbled out of the bathroom a few minutes later, having taken the most efficient shower of his life in hopes of preserving the last of the hot water for when PJ got home. He made a beeline for his room, rummaging through the pile at the bottom of his closet until he found what he was looking for, buried deep within a mess of rubbish, schoolbooks and dirty clothes - his wallet. He snatched it up, taking his keys off their hook for the first time in six days and venturing outside into the cold.

This is the part where the warping starts, the link at the bottom will take you to the images of what it is supposed to look like. I've also put in an absurd amount of enters at the bottom so (on the condition wattpad is deciding to be nice to me today) if you scroll down really quickly hopefully you won't see any accidental spoilers! (if you're having trouble finding it - it's in the grey bar underneath the end of the last page. It is just called 'external link' as you can't change the name. It's the button farthest to the right.)
