Chapter 7: "She lied"

Chapter 7:

Blake's P.O.V

I got off the train and walked to Tesco, it was only 7.54am, I had loads of time.

I didn't need to meet Scarlett, so I had no reason to rush.

I walked to the chocolate aisle and picked out a box of maltesers and headed to the till.

"Alright mate"

I spun around to see Logan grinning, he had a big bag of Doritos and lots of chocolate in his basket.

"Yeah, what's with all the food?"

He shrugged "comfort food"

I laughed and went to the till to pay. I then walked out of the shop and waited for the charmer.

We walked along the path until we saw Melissa and Nicole. We walked quicker and caught up with them.

I walked along beside them, not really joining in the conversation. It had been a week and a bit since our break up and it felt so different.

"Are you alright Blake?" I looked back at them all and I could see that the girls had pushed Logan away and he was now focusing on Melissa.

"Blake?" Oh yeah I had to form words to answer Nicole, she couldn't mind read.

"I dunno, it all feels different"

She smiled at me, obviously not knowing what to say. But then she looked guilty.. Why?

"Nicole?"

She looked ahead and not at me, probably trying to cover it up.

"Yeah?" She asked nervously. I saw that she was playing with her hands, and I then knew she was covering something.

"What do you know, that I don't?" I asked calmly.

She didn't try to hide it, she told me.

But Scarlett.. Didn't cheat on me? She didn't cheat.. She lied.. But why would she make all this up if she didn't want to be with me.. She could of just told me.. I didn't know what to do.

I walked to school in silence and only nodded my head at appropriate times. She has completely  messed with my head.

"Are you coming to the canteen Blake?" Nicole asked, and with the way they all looked at me, I guessed they were all going.

I nodded my head and slowly walked there with them all. I didn't want to be at school, I wanted to be at home.. On Fifa, having a rage.

We had now sat down in the canteen and by now, Melissa and Logan had caught on to my shitty behaviour.

"Did you tell him?" Melissa quietly asked Nicole.

"Yes she did" I answered.

"Wait now I'm confused? Who told who what and why am I only finding out after everyone else?" Logan sulked.

I explained the situation to Logan, and where necessary Nicole would explain some more. But the conversation soon stopped when Scarlett came over and sat on the empty seat on the other side of Nicole.

"Hey.." Nicole said unsurely.

"Hi" she said back, smiling at us all.

The smile wasn't returned to Scarlett. None of us spoke, we just stared at each other and at Scarlett.

Scarlett looked around at us all. Until she suddenly spoke.

"I've just realised, I've got maths to do.." She said quickly, before exiting the canteen, very briskly.
