Chapter 3

Allison rushed towards me and helped me up. I just ran into the toilet and rushed into a bathroom stall. Allison rushed in straight behind me. Once I made sure no one was in there I turned to Allison and said "I swear, one day I will make Lydia's life hell". Allison just smiled at me and patted my back.

Once I had gotten cleaned up I went home because I had two free periods after lunch and I didn't want to spend that time at school.

When I got home I found a $100 note on the table with a note saying go to the mall and buy something to wear for dinner tonight.

I changed into a pair of shorts and tee shirt and slipped on my favourite pair of white converses. I walked into the local mall and the first person I saw was Scott. I turned away quickly and walked away from him hoping he wouldn't recognise me but I was too late. He just smiled at me and walked away.

Blushing, I walked into forever 21 and started looking for something nice. My eyes caught a really cute black dress with lace sleeves and lace at my
belly. I picked it up and tried it on and it fit perfectly so I bought it.

I walked out of Forever 21 looking down at my phone and I bumped I to someone. We both fell down and I was about to start yelling at the stranger when I looked up and saw that it was Scott. I started blushing and so did he.

He got up and put his hand out and I took it. "Sorry" he said, "I should've watched where I was going". "No no it's my fault", I said. "Well I've gotta get going" he said, and left.

After that I rushed home. My mum was waiting for me with a big smile on her face. "We've made reservations for the new Thai restaurant downtown, go have a shower and get ready! Your dad gets home in two hours so we'll leave then."

I went up to my room and took a shower, making sure to wash my hair properly. After I got out I blow dried it and curled it a little at the ends and then pinned it back. I decided to put very little makeup on so I put some bb cream on my face and for my eyes I managed to perfect my winged eyeliner and mascara with a little beige eyeshadow. Then I slipped on my dress and paired it up with some black pumps I had had for ages. I wore a necklace and some black earrings.

When I got downstairs my mum started smiling so much I thought it would reach her eyes. "Oh honey you look beautiful!". "Thanks mum", I said "is dad home yet?". At that moment the door opened and my dad came in holding a wrapped box.

He came up to me and hugged me "happy birthday sweetheart! I can't believe my baby girl is already 16!" He then gave me the wrapped box. I excitedly opened it and I couldn't believe what I got! My parents had bought me a gold iPhone 6! I rushed up to them and hugged them "thank you thank you thank you!!"
"It's okay honey you deserved it, now come on, or we're gonna miss our reservations".
