Twisted and Switched

Chapter 1

"MOM!!!!", I yelled. She yelled back "YES HONEY, JUST WAIT TWO SECONDS I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!". I sighed and I poured myself a bowl of cereal and waited. After what seemed like forever my mom came down and asked me what I wanted. I stared at her, did she not know that it was my birthday? She just stared at me with a blank look on her face. I then said "Mom, I'm 17 years old today, like in 10 seconds I'll be 17!". She gasped and then said, "Oh honey, of course I knew that. There will be a surprise for you when you come back from school!!". I sighed and said bye and as I was walking out the door I heard my mum call my dad and say "Ben you were right, it is Abby's birthday today, don't forget to buy her a present on your way home from work and then I'll make some reservations at a restaurant".

Well that's my life everyday. The story of Abby Dashen, the forgotten child. As I got off my bus and started walking towards my school, I saw my best friend get out of her car so I started running towards her. She saw me and she started to smile. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!!" she screamed in my ear, then she thrusted a huge bar of chocolate in my hands. At least someone remembered. We walked into school together and I went to my locker to get my stuff out. As I was about to walk into my first class I bumped into someone and fell down.
As I finally regained my balance I looked up to see who it was, Scott Hoechlin was staring down at my with his amazing green eyes. That moment was completely ruined when his girlfriend, Lydia Argent walked in and swooped him away. Scott just stared back at me with sorry eyes and I was left sitting on the floor looking incredibly awkward.
