Twisted and Switched

Chapter 2

I rushed into first period with Allison (my best friend) and sat in my seat. As soon as I sat the entire class started snickering and pointed at me. When I looked over to my best friend her face was red and she told me to stand up. I realised that someone had put a giant wad of gum on my seat and I could feel my face turning red,

When my teacher, Mr Hale came in I asked him if I could go to the toilet. As I was walking out the door, Scott decided to come in. We both fell to the floor and massaged our heads. Scott was the first to get up and held out his hand for me, by this time the entire class were holding their breaths because I was a nerd and Scott was the schools hottest 11th grader. I got up and ignored his hand but I ended up falling back down because the gum had decided to stick my butt to the floor and it pulled me back. Scott just laughed and went to his seat.

I ran out of the class and into the toilet to try and get the gum. After many attempts I finally got all the gum off but know it looked like I peed my pants and I knew I would bring my social status even lower now.

As soon as I walked into class everyone started laughing at me, even Scott and I could see my teacher, Mr Hale was trying not to laugh. With my head down, I slowly walked to my seat and sat. What a great way to start my 17th birthday, I thought.

I got through the period with Allison reassuring me that it'll be okay. I had a free period next so I would have time to run back home and change my jeans.

As soon as the bell rung, I bolted out of the class and ran home. If changed into my new pair of Levi jeans and rushed back to school.

By that time it was lunch so I ran into the cafeteria and ended up bumping into Scott's girlfriend, Lydia, who happened to be carrying a salad. The salad fell all over me and my new jeans. She just looked at me, laughed, and walked away to sit with Scott.
