"Hey Kenzie." Jack says as I recognize its him. "Hi." "You know--" "Kenzie! Can I talk to you in private?" Colton interrupts while panting. "Not now." I reply. "Fine, meet me at rin park at 1:00." "Alright, cya then." "Bye."
"Ok Jack, what were you saying?" "Well, we've been best friends for a while now so I was wondering.. if.. I could take you to dinner? At 7:00? Tonight?" he says weirdly. "Jack, are you saying that you're asking me on a date..?" I say awkwardly. There is a moment of silence.
"..Yes.." he says. "I.. I.. yes.." I reply.
I feel so embarrassed.
"REALLY?" he squeals and screams. "Yeah..!" I say back embarrassed. "Ok! I'll pick you up at 7:00! Bye!" "Bye Jack." I say softly.
It's 12:54, "Oh! I have to meet Colton!" I say as I scurry on to rin park.
"Hey Colton." I say startling him. "Oh hey Kenzie! You startled me." he says as he slips his arms around my back.
"What the hell are you doing?!" I say as I squirm around to get out.
"Shh." Colton whispers in my ear. "No! What are you doing?!" He plants a kiss on my forehead, "Kenzie, I love you. I love you a lot. I want to steal your heart. Somehow, someway, I will steal your heart with your love in it. Tomorrow I'm taking you out to breakfast. I'll pick you up at 11:00. Be ready by then." I love you." he says as he lets go and walks away.
"I'm so confused."
