9- Best Friends

LILY
Ring ring! Ring ring, my phone vibrates. I get a text from my mom stating I come home for dinner.

"Colton, my mom texted me saying I need to get home for dinner," I tell him.
"Ok," he replies smiling, "I'll drive you."

When we arrive, I run into my house for dinner.

Sooner or later I finish my nice meal, heading off to bed.

I hug my pillow for comfort, and whisper to myself, "I'm going to go to that girl Kenzie's house tomorrow."

IRIS
I had stopped my knees from bleeding earlier, and I threw on pj's for bed.

I manage to crawl into bed without hurting my arms or knees, and fall asleep very quickly. I've had a rough day. First the street, then the girl, then the car, then he says I don't need help, what else?

[Next Day]
LILY
I jump out of bed A.S.A.P. (As soon as possible.) I throw on a white crop top followed by a black & white striped skirt. Then I inform my mom I'm going out.

142 Pointer Street.. 142 Pointer Street.. Aha! There it is. I run up and knock on the door.

Kenzie opens it I'm guessing. "Kenzie?" I ask. "Yeah. It's you.. Lily? What are you doing here?" she replies asking.

"Well.. can I talk to you?" I ask politely, "Sure. Follow me," and with that, I follow her to her room.

We sit on her bed, "Be my friend," I inform her, "please?"

KENZIE
"Really? Ok!" I say as we hug, "Besties?" she asks.

"Besties. Finally, I have a best friend."

We hug again and her blonde hair and
my brown-blonde hair hit each other's faces, that's how quickly we hugged.

"One question Lily," asking her, "what about you and Colton?" "I'll keep him away from you. Wanna go out for a walk?" she asks me.
"Please don't let me see Colton and then that'll mean 100% I'm in," I tell Lily, "No cotlton," she replies smiling.

We leave the house and start walking. About 10 minutes later, Colton appears walking down the road. My eyes get glassy with tears, and I pray he doesn't notice us.

But he did. He yells over, "Lily! What are you doing with that stupid lady?!"

I hold millions of tears back, and Lily says pushing me behind her, "She's my friend now, can you please be nice to her? For me?"

"I guess.." he fixes his shirt.

"Yay," I whisper to her as he walks over.

Bad luck. Help.

He kisses her on the cheek, pushes me away, and kisses her holding her. Actually, she pulls back and gives him information, "You can't push Kenzie, she may trip and get hurt. Her knees have been bothering her and her poor body has been aching. No kissing me like that unless I get the grade of an A from Kenzie informing me you did not try hurting her, or killing her, in any sort of way. Not even allowed to pinch her. Please do not even lay a hand on her unless it will not be hurting her," and all of the sudden he replies by hugging me, and I cringe very badly.

What's happening? "Lily, what is he doing?" I ask with him and his arms still attached around me. "Well.. he's hugging you which isn't hurting you I hope," replying, I say, "Ok."
