Our cruel fate tore us apart. My older sister and I grew up in an orphanage when our parents were killed in a ship wreck one story night at the sea. They were merchants so were often travelling. When older sister turned 18, she was allowed to leave the orphanage and lived on her own. I couldn't bear to separate from my sister so I followed her.

Life was harsh. We were poor and could only rent a room. My sister had to juggle multiple jobs to earn a living. I didn't go to school as we couldn't afford to sent me there.

3 years later..

"Sis, where are you going all dressed so nicely?" I was surprised by how stunning she looked.
"Well..I'm going a festival with a friend. I'll be back tonight."
"Okay, have fun."

A friend? Was it a guy?

Edelyn

"Now, clean this mess up before you are fired!" The nasty boss spat on the floor in front of me.
"Woah, hey there ma'am. You were the one who made this mess and now you are making her clean them? Aren't you being mean?"
"Young man, this is her job so just stay out of this."
"Well, I can't help but to stick into this matter."
This guy here is trying to stand up for me. He was wearing nice clothes, indicating that he was from a wealthy family.

"Sorry, you had to lose your job."
"Nah it's okay. I wanted to quit anyway. Thanks for helping me out back there."
"I'm Caleb. What's your name, beautiful?" He smiled.
No one had ever smiled at me like that and called me beautiful. It was liked he never looked down on me.
"E-Edelyn." I tucked my hair behind my ear and advert my eyes away from him. He was making me so shy that I couldn't look straight into his eyes.
"So Edelyn, how about accompanying me to the festival tomorrow? It's going to be fun."
