"No! Let go of me!" Sis yelled at the bandits who were trying to take her away. 
I was pushed onto the ground when I bit on to one of the guard's arm. My sister was forcefully taken away by them and from then on, I never saw her again.

After that, I was sent back to the orphanage During my time there, I was so sad and depressed that I skipped meals. One day, a rich couple came to the orphanage and adopted me. They were nice and treated me with kindness.

10 years later...

I was attending a private academy for the rich.
"You are going to attending a ball with your parents?" Lysa, my best friend said. She was the first friend I made in school. Lysa had long straight black hair and beautiful fair skin.
"Yeah, it's my first time."

"Oh my gosh! He is here!!" A girl screamed and followed by her other friends.
Oh it was Deo, the most popular guy in school and my other best friend. I didn't like him at first but somehow we got along and became close.
"Hey little girl." He greeted me with a smirked on his face.
"Hey noob." I greeted him back. This was one of the ways we teased and joked around with each other.
"Wanna hang out after school?"
"Sorry I have plans already."
"What plans?"
"It's a ball that my parents wanted me to attend."
"Oh I see. Then, next time."

There were many people at the ball when we arrived. My parents were greeted by many of their acquitance and friends. They also introduced me to them.
"Elysa, there is someone I'd like you to meet." My father said. A young handsome man, not much older than me came and stand beside my father.
"This is my nephew, Roy. He is your fiance."
"I-It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Elysa."I was taken aback. How come I never heard of this? Since when they had a nephew?
"Sorry for the short notice. We were planning to tell you earlier about your engagement with Roy." My mother said.
"I didn't know you have a nephew, father."
"For many years, we didn't see each other because Roy lived in the other side of the country."
"I have heard a lot about you from uncle. You are really beautiful in person." Roy said.
"Thank you."
"Can you come over tomorrow to discuss about the engagement?" My father asked Roy.
"Yes, sure."
"After all, you are at a marriageable age, Elysa." My mother said.
"Yes, mother."

I went outside to get some fresh air because it was crowded and noisy inside.
"Can I join you?" Roy asked.
"Yeah, sure."
"Are you okay with this? We could get to know each other first."
"I don't know, Roy. I didn't see this coming. So I'm still kind of shocked."
"I know that uncle it a little pushy. But I'm sure he is worried about your future. I can promise you that I'll take good care of you."

I have never fallen in love before. but somehow, those words shaked my feelings.
