Amelia

"Amelia! Where did you go? You disappeared in the middle of the party."
"Sorry, I was feeling unwell so I left."
"You should have told me! I was worried."
"I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
If I'd told her the truth, Roy's plans would be ruined. What am I gonna do?
"Never mind, I forgot."

I waited for Deo after school to tell him about Roy and Elysa's father schemes. 

"Deo, we need to talk."

My parents and I arrived the palace. It was my very first time here and very everything felt so enchanting and filled with wonders. Noble families were honored to be invited to this ball. Everyone was so excited to meet the third prince of Wistria. Personally, I have never seen him because he rarely show his appearance in front of the people. I heard that the last time he had shown his face was when the third Queen was still alive. And after that they hid him in the palace away from people. He must be all grown up now. I was trying to picture him in my head as a handsome charming prince. 

"The majesty has arrived." Everyone turned their heads to faced the king. 

"Today is a special day for Prince Deo as he is being crowned the next king in line." 

Deo? Ha, it couldn't be him but my instincts were wrong. 

The prince stepped forward and faced the crowd. "I pronounced you crowned prince Deo."

"Good evening dearest guests, I thank you all for coming and I hope you enjoy your time here at this ball." He smiled and bowed. The crowd applaud. 

The girl next to me was telling another girl, "He is so handsome." 

How can it be Deo? He has been lying to everyone in school all this time. 

Caleb

"WHERE IS SHE?? Why didn't you stop them??" I shouted at my guard who was supposed to watched over Edelyn when I was not around. 

"Prince Caleb, she has been kidnapped by a group of bandits. Sorry sir, there were too many of them I couldn't stop them in time." He explained. 

"Shit." My hands ran through my hair and I banged the table. 

"Do you know where they are heading now?"

"Probably the harbor. I heard that the ship will be departing in the morning." 

"There isn't much time left. We got to hurry up and save her. Send the rest of guards." 

As soon as orders were given out, we arrived shortly at the harbor. 

"Search the ships. Make sure you find her."

"Prince Caleb! That ship is departing!" A guard shouted. 

"Stop that ship!" They were trying to escape now. 

We quickly infiltrate the ship and freed all the slaves. At last, I found her. 

"Caleb!!" She ran towards me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm so glad you're alright. Everything is okay now. Let's go back." I hugged her backed tightly. She must have been so scared after going through all this. 

The bandits were thrown into prison and justice was done. The people who were captured returned to their families. 

"So you were a prince. Why didn't you tell me?" 

I took her hand and said, "You didn't need to know. All you need to know is that I love you and I always want you beside me. Marry me Edelyn." 

"Sorry Caleb but I don't I can.." She takes a step back and let go of my hands. 

"Why? Is it because I am a prince?"

"Yes, I am someone with no title or status. You can't be with me. The king will definitely object to this."

"I don't care about what others will think and if you are just a mere commoner. I will do whatever it takes to make you mine and convince my father."

"Really?" 

I nodded my head. "So you'll marry me?" 

She grinned and said yes.

"Where are we going?"

"To the palace to meet my father."

"What?! But I am not well prepared now, w-what if your father doesn't like me? And 

we've got to go back and find my sister first. She must be very worried sick about me." 

"Don't worry she is safe. My guards took her back to the orphanage."

"The orphanage?! Why didn't you take her to me??" 

"We go there as soon as we meet my father alright?"

Edelyn looked gorgeous with a pearly pink dress. I have to give credit to the maids who helped dressed her up. "You ready?" 

"Y-yeah, but I am kind of nervous." 

Father was already sitting on the grand chair  and we took slow steps forward. 

"Caleb, I heard that you rescued many slaves last night. Well done, but you should have left the job to those guards."

"Yes father. However, I had to rescue someone very important to me."

"Important?"

"I would like you to meet Edelyn and your sincere blessings to us."

Edelyn steps forward and stood beside me. "Your Majesty, I am Edelyn." She took a bow. 

"What is the meaning of this?" 

"Please calm down, father. I know that this is all very sudden but she is the one and only girl I want to spend the rest of my life with."

Father always tried to set me up with those princesses and girls from noble families. This time, I will not let father do this to me anymore. Father then places his on his forehead and lets out a sigh."

"Before your mother died, she made me promised her not to interfere with your love life and allow you to be together with the one you truly love. I guess I can't stop you two from being together."

I was surprised when my plans didn't backfire and persuading father was not as hard as I thought it would be.
