As she flutters her eyes open, Alex finds herself in the strangest position; Harry's arms wrapped tightly around her body. She tried to move his arm off of her with him noticing. Once his arm was placed strategically by his side, she quickly headed to the shower.

Once she finished, Alex dried herself off and went to go eat breakfast.

"Good morning sweetie." The kind lady told her as she too walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning." she smiled. She made her way to the kitchen table and grabbed a pastry in the dish.

"So, how is that boyfriend of yours." She asked me.

"He's not my boyfriend, Cathleen" She rolled my eyes, hoping she'd finally get that.

"Oh, I know, silly." She laughed.

"Wait, I thought you thought we were dating."

"I did, at first but when I realized you weren't I was taken by surprise! I mean, you both obviously like each other, so why not?" She asked.

"I don't like him!" Alex protested

"Denial!" She sang.

"It's the truth!"

"You can't-fool me." Cathleen smiled.

Alex sighed in defeat. "Fine, maybe a little but he wouldn't even take a second look at me, I mean, it's just a little crush, it's not like anything's would ever happen."

"You never know... serendipity works in mysterious ways." She chimed then left the room, leaving her clueless.

"Morning Alex." She heard Harry say from the hallway, eating a banana. How long had he been standing there?

"Jesus, you scared me."

"Oh hello you two, how'd you two sleep?" The old lady asked, walking back into the room as if she had never even been there. Alex scowled at her.

"Great." Harry replied, playing nice, "The shower this morning was wonderful. How did you ever manage to own such a nice bed and breakfast, you must have been a long way from home."

"Oh yes, well, my husband, see, he was an American. He loved this location, and this little hotel. He loved to see the good in people, and always wanted to help everyone. He especially loved hearing stories of travelers. Me myself, I was never too keen on strangers, to tell you the truth." Cathleen responded.

Harry found this curious. "Then why were you so welcoming to us? I mean, you must have known that we weren't on the guest list."

"Please, with the way you folks were dressed, you stuck out like a sore thumb. However, I guess it was my late husband in my head telling me to always be kind to strangers; that they may just surprise you. Besides, judging by your accent, you too are a long way from home."

"Yes, actually. It's a rather long story."

Cathleen clapped her hands together"Wonderful, why don't you share it during dinner?" Harry and Alex shared a look.

"Perfect!" She responded, without letting them respond.

"Well, time to get cooking."

"Oh don't worry Cathleen, if it's alright with you, I think we should cook dinner, I mean it's least we could do." He smiled. He nudged Alex, which burst her into action.

"Yes, we insist,"

"Alrighty then. There is a garden out back and we do have some leftover food in the fridge." She smiled as she walked off.

"Harry, I have no idea how to cook."

"Don't worry I'll show you."

"Ok, where do we start?"
