Their meal had been a success, and it was easy to fall into conversation with the older boys. In no time the food had disappeared from everyone's plates.

"The food was fantastic. Thank you, Cathleen" Finn asked.

She shook her head while dabbing a napkin on her lip. "Thanks, love, but I actually can't take the credit. It was these two who put in all the hard work."

"Well, it's excellent," Finn said smiling.

After excusing themselves from the table, Alex kindly told Harry she needed to be alone for a moment. After spending all day together, it seemed odd to him but he let her be.

Alex, however, was going our her damned mind about everything. Harry's words earlier reassured her about their whole situation, but she still felt like she was being useless. And dinner was a nice distraction, but now she just felt exhausted. She needed to be alone for a moment because if she saw Harry for one more second, she'd just think back to the wedding, and she didn't want to think about it.

After Harry went to prepare for bed, Alex decided to walk out to the garden. It was around ten at night by then. She thought she was alone until she heard footsteps behind her.

"Hey." She heard Lucas greet, seating beside her

"Hi." Alex squirmed.

"So, the food was great."

"Thanks." She muttered. Maybe company wouldn't be so bad after all? She couldn't decide if his company was the good kind, though.

"Um, so Harry is your boyfriend right?" He asked.

"Yes." It slipped out, but she wasn't sure whether honesty was the better route.

"Damn it." He said sounding slightly disappointed. Was he interested in her?

"Why?"

"Because, if you two weren't a couple, maybe, I don't know."

"What."

"Ok, um, Alex, can I confess something to you?"

"Sure," I told him.

"I'm like men."
