Mary DeSoto always loved hymns. She was the heart of the Bible Belt, after all. She was just as young as her brother during the war. They were told to hide behind storage or stay behind at the camp. The Mississippian would quietly sing hymns when the older southern states were out fighting. Mumbling hymns to herself while praying nonstop. All she hoped was that the savior would help them.
