Valerie's POV
As Shawn and I began to walk back to my house, he stopped which caused me to stop because we were holding hands.
"Valerie I just wanted to know.... w-will you g-go on a real d-date w-with me?" he stuttered.
"Aww Shawn, of course!" I responded smiling. This kid is just too much I can't even.
"Really?! I mean, uh cool, I'll pick you up at 7." He tried to say smoothly, but failed adorably.
"Smooth Shawn. Smoooooooth." I said laughing and making fun of him.
"DON'T BULLY MEEE!!" he said fake crying. I just laughed at him while he pouted like a five year old begging his mom to buy him something from the store.
"Fineee, I'm sorry for making fun of your fail attempt at being smooth."
"I accept your sort of apology." he said with a giant grin on his face.
We continued our walk back to my aunts house - holding hands - and once we walked in we were greeted with a bunch of stares by everyone. I began to blush hard and everyone just laughed at us while saying how cute we were.
"OOOOOH SHAWNY HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!!" Aaliyah yelled causing me to blush even harder which was shocking seeing as I was already as red as a pomegranate.
"Shut up Aaliyah." I looked over at Shawn to see he was blushing also.
"Lets go up to my room Shawn." we went upstairs to my room.
"Valerie, I need to ask you something..."
"Um ok..?"
