Cry hummed to himself, turning on the shower before pulling in his phone to his speakers. He was planning on waiting for Snake to wake up so they could shower together but he couldn't wait, he had downloaded atleast a day's worth of Halloween music and he was excited. Halloween was one of his favourite times of the year, all the decorations, the pumpkin flavoured foods and drinks, the spooky atmosphere, and of course Halloween itself with the costumes and the candy.
He shuffled his playlist, coming on first. Cry gave a small grin before wandering over to the shower, testing the water before stripping out of his pyjamas and slipped into the shower. At first, Cry hummed along, eventually singing along with a grin on his face as he added shampoo to his hair.
He washed that out, dancing around slightly as the song came to an end. Cry giggled to himself, listening for the next song. Cry's eyes lit up as came on, humming along to the beginning as he waited to put conditioner in his hair. "Boys are girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you'll see, this our town of Halloween!"
"This is Halloween, this is Halloween, pumpkins scream in the dead of night." Cry jumped slightly, turning and peeking his head out of the shower curtain and saw Snake was standing there, stripping out of his pyjamas. "This is Halloween, everybody make a scene." Cry smiled widely, it took ages to get Snake to sing with him and now here they were, singing without having to convince Snake.
"Trick or treat 'til the neighbors die of fright! It's our town, everybody scream in this town of Halloween!" They sang together, harmonizing fairly quickly with one another.
"I am the one hiding under your bed, teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!" Cry sang by himself as he ducked back into the shower. Snake always took the deeper sounding parts and this song was no exception.
Cry glanced over his shoulder as Snake slipped into the shower. "I am the one hiding under your stairs, fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair."
"This is Halloween, this is Halloween, Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!" Cry let out a small giggle, switching places with Snake so he could wash his hair.
"In this town we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song. In this town, don't we love it now? Everybody's waiting for the next surprise! 'Round that corner man hiding in the trash can, something's waiting now to pounce, and how you'll scream!" Cry added conditioner to his hair as Snake added shampoo to his own.
"This is Halloween! Red 'n' black," Cry started, looking up at Snake as he came to the end of his line.
"Slimy green!" Cry ginned as Snake smiled softly at him
"Aren't you scared?"
"Well, that's just fine!"
Cry watched as Snake washed out his hair first, waiting patiently. "Say it once, say it twice, take a chance and roll the dice! Ride with the moon in the dead of night!" They sang together, switching so Cry could wash his hair out.
"Everybody scream, everybody scream!" Snake's voice boomed, Cry holding back a giggle.
"In our town of Halloween!" They sang softly together, grinning like mad men as they tried to hold back their laughs.
Cry loved the part coming up, it was fun to sing when Snake was down for duets. "I am the clown with the tear-away face-"
"-Here in a flash and gone without a trace." Snake finished, putting conditioner in his hair as Cry soaped up a face cloth.
"I am the 'who when you call 'who's there?' I am the wind blowing through your hair." Cry gave his tone a faded sound to it, trying to emulate the song as best he could.
Snake was up next, washing out his hair. "I am the shadow on the moon at night, filling your dreams to the brim with fright!" He suddenly stuck out a finger and poked Cry's nose, Cry letting out a small laugh.
"God we're fucking nerds." Cry teased as he tried to scrub the permanent marker off his arm from the night before, truth or dare was always a bad idea.
Snake let out a small snort as he applied soap to his own face cloth. "You're the one with the Halloween music, nerd." Cry let out a giggle.
"And you're the one singing along, now shush! The best part is coming up!" Cry barely had time to spit out the words before their favourite part was about to play.
"Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back and-" Snake cut himself off, Cry following quickly with his line.
"-Scream like a banshee, make you jump out of your skin!"
"This is Halloween, everybody scream!" They sang together as Cry washed the soap from his body.
"Won't ya please make way for a very special guy!" Cry tried to have a scratching sounding voice as he switched with Snake so he could wash the soap from his body.
"Our man Jack is King of the Pumpkin patch, everyone hail to the Pumpkin King, now! This is Halloween, this is Halloween, Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!"
"In this town we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song!" Cry sang softly by himself, excited for the next part.
Cry sang the 'la's while Snake covered the deeper 'Halloween's in the background, both holding back from laughing as their voices kept rising louder and louder, both practically screaming the 'weeee!' at the end. Once the song started to fade out, they began to laugh loudly, turning off the shower and both getting out to dry themselves off.
"Okay, so maybe we're both nerds." Snake admitted, Cry letting out a small laugh as he grabbed a towel and tossed one to Snake.
"Admit it, you like singing with me." Cry teased, coming on.
Snake let out a small chuckle as he gave Cry a soft kiss on the lips. "It has its upsides." Both let out a laugh, Cry half wondering what else he could get Snake to sing with him.
