Caged in Darkness

Humans are birds,

Caged in darkness.

Without any trace of light,

For no door is open for freedom.

Clipped are their wings,

That prevents them to fly.

Tied are their beaks,

That prevents them to sing.

Only they will sing,

For the cat and its master,

Or perhaps a monster.

Yes, that locked them here.

They wanted to be free,

To fly and sing on their own free will.

They longed for fresh air,

And the enchanted breeze.

They dreamt of flying,

Freely in the open sky.

But locked they are,

And caged to death.

Hope is what they need,

To have courage to escape.

But the evil cat kills the light,

And prevents hope from entering.

Who will save them,

From the evil cat and the monster?

They are hopeless and dying

Falling in complete darkness.
