Hello, everyone! Wow, what a journey it has been since I was that curious 12-year-old obsessed with writing—and, of course, Slappy the Dummy. A lot has changed since I first wrote this book: for starters, I'm no longer a kid! I'm now 21, about to turn 22, and I'm set to graduate with my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I've moved away from my childhood home on the East Coast and started a new life all the way on the West Coast. And, perhaps most exciting of all... I'm happily married! Yep, you heard that right—so much has happened in my life! But no matter how much I continue to grow and evolve, there's always a part of me that wishes to hold onto that youthful spirit. And what better way to do that than by revisiting some of my old works and rewriting them for all of you?

Before we dive in, I just want to acknowledge something—I know how unbelievably cringe my original writing was (and maybe still is... let's be real, some things never change!). I was only 12, going on 13, when I first started this book, so I was still figuring out how to write properly. Over the years, I've read so many comments, DMs, and messages from the community, and I've taken all the feedback, advice, and recommendations to heart. With that in mind, I wanted to breathe fresh life into this story, knowing that there are still a lot of Slappy lovers out there. Even though I've outgrown many phases, this book holds a special place in my heart.

And if you're new here, welcome! I hope you enjoy your time and find something special in this story. :)

Most importantly, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you, my amazing readers, for making this journey possible. It all started with me feeling creative and wanting to write my own story, never imagining the impact it would have on thousands of people who've read it, and continue to read it today. You all inspired me to keep going, and I can't thank you enough for sticking with me through it all.
