Dean's Flower

Chapter 10

Lily woke up the next morning on the couch. She sat up quickly and grabbed her head. "Shit!" Her head was pounding.

Dean was in then kitchen doing the dishes when Lily shouted out. He dropped the pan he was washing and ran toward the living room. "I'm coming Lil- ahh!"

When Dean rounded the corner to living room he slipped and fell on his butt. Lily saw the whole thing and burst out laughing. Dean smiled. Well at least I made her laugh he thought.

Her laugh quickly turned into sobs. Laughing made her whole body hurt. Every inch of her was in excruciating pain.

Dean quickly got up and kneeled down next to her on the couch. "I'm sorry baby. I know it hurts." He said smoothing her hair. "You want me to get you some medicine?" Lily nodded wearily. "Okay sweetheart. I'll be right back."

Dean left and came back with two ibuprofen and a glass of water.
"Here you go baby." Lily took the pills and laid back down.

"Lily-Rose, I'm so sorry I let this happen to you. I'm supposed to keep you safe and I didn't." Dean said tears threatening to fall.

Lily shook her head. "No." She said in a stern voice. "Non of this is your fault. If anything it's mine. I was careless. Please don't blame yourself. Promise me you don't blame yourself."

"Okay baby. I promise." Dean smiled up at her. Lily smiled back.

"So I take it I'm not allowed to get off the couch."

Dean laughed. "That's right little missy. You are stuck with me waiting on you hand and foot."

"Fine." Lily groaned. "I have my first request."

"What is that?"

"Will you watch a movie with me?" Lily asked batting her eyes.

"Of course I will. What movie?"

"Peter Pan."

Dean went over to dvd's. While he was looking for it Sam walked in.

"Hey there gorgeous." He kissed her head. "How ya feeling?"

Lily shrugged. "Okay I guess. My head hurts, and I hurt practically  everywhere. But other than that I'm fantastic."

"I'm sorry sweetie" Sam smiled. "What is your dad doing?"

"He's looking for Peter Pan." Sam gave her a funny look. "Oh no the movie." Lily laughed.

"Oh okay. Can I watch it with you guys?" Sam asked

"On one condition." Lily said.

"What's that?"

"You get snacks."

Sam laughed. "Okay deal. I'll be right back."

"Found it!" Dean said as he placed it in the dvd player. He turned toward Lily. "Scoot your butt." Lily sat up to make room for her dad.

"Okay" Sam said "I got Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, Doritos and popcorn. A beer for you and me Dean, and peach peace tea for you Lily."

"Thanks uncle Sammy." Lily said.

They all sat down and watched Peter Pan together. Like a normal family.

This is really nice. I wish everyday could be like this. Dean thought.
