Aaron POV:

I shifted my eyes from left to right, after that laughter I couldn't help but become more worried so i shifted to my wolf immediately. I was looking for any signs of rogues, it's must've been them. But why would they laugh through the night and reveal themselves?

"Well well, if it isn't Aaron the Alpha!" A voice that sounded so very familiar... Hunter...

"What do you want Hunter?" I glared at him with the bloodshot eyes of my wolf.

"Oh nothing, just be warned and stay alert my friend," he smirked.

"You don't need to tell me to stay alert and since when did you become my friend?!?" I growled with fury.

"Please, no need to be so angry, they'll be here soon," he laughed.

"Who?!?" I yelled, then I suddenly came to the realisation 'The rogues are coming'. But how did he know? "Wait you don't mean?"

"Oh yes I do! They are coming!" Hunter replied with some seriousness all of a sudden.

"How do you know!?!" I growled.

"All will be revealed soon enough my friend," he smirked again.

"What do you mean!?! Are you one of them!?!?" I demanded for an answer.

"I can't tell you anything, not now at least. I have to take my leave, they are nearing, be ready my friend!" He laughed and disappeared into the darkness.

What was that all about? What did he mean? Was the rogues really nearing us? Gosh all the thoughts were spinning in my head.

I looked up and stared at crescent moon lighting up the night sky together with the sparkling stars. I could only think of what was going to happen, all the possibilities I could think of, fearful or exciting. What was going to happen to me, to Chloe, to the entire pack? 'Argh!' I brushed my hand through my hair.

Stacy POV:

I grabbed my head in fear, crouched on the ground, shivering as if the icy winds of the north had just blew against me. I stared at the ground with ghostly eyes, clutched my ears now, screaming like a little girl that had just seen a monster. I felt an invisible force invading my mind causing me fear and agony.

"Stace? What's wrong?" Steven asked worriedly. I could sense the care he had for me. He then grabbed me by the waist and held me tightly in his arms that were now locked around me.

I stopped my screaming and closed my eyes as I fell into the comfort of his arms. If only it was like this for the rest of my life, deep within the love of my mate, feeling safe and secure in his arms. His comforting voice soothing my fears.

"There there, you'll be fine," he whispered into my ear. His voice was just so deep and sexy, I absolutely loved it. My perfect mate!

"Steven, thank you so much for being with me so far since I came back, but I have this feeling our goodbyes are near," I suddenly blurted out. 'Gosh what did I just do? Steven was going to be with me forever and he made sure of that.' Did my senses tell me the end of one of us is near?
