12. SURPRISE!!

I let out a big yawn.

Then I stretched.

I glanced at the calendar.

18th July.

"Good morning queen Emilia" I said yawning.

Nope, no answer...

I went down from my room to the main hall.

"no. no. nothing. 1121" said Jake who was here in the castle, talking to Queen Emilia.

"Oh. Okay" she said.

"Good morning" I said again slowly.

"Oh good morning sweetie" she replied finally.

"Good morning, rose, had a nice sleep time?" Jake said.

I chuckled at his unusual question and nodded.

"So... what are you gust talking about, let me join the conversation" I said.

They glanced at each other, and then smiled.

"Its, its, its... we are talking about emerald." She answered smiling at Jake.

I looked at him suspiciously.

"Who is emerald?" I asked.

"My awesome mother" Jake said beaming.

"Umm... okay... but I heard you saying 1121," I said suspiciously.
"What is that?"

"It's..." Jake said pressing something on his phone.

He put the phone to his ear and whispered something I didn't hear.

"What did you say?" I asked. I know I seem ridiculous asking all these questions, but it seemed... I don't know... so shady... and I love mysteries.

Zoe burst in.

"I'm here, I'm here! Am I late, Alex?"

"Late for what Zoe? And what brought you here?" I asked.

Now she seemed to notice me and a nervous look crept across her face. Jake let out a laugh.

"My name I Jake not Alex, Zoe" he said.

She chuckled nervously.

"No you are not late..." he said and I narrowed my eyes at them.

Something is going on here, and I will figure it out even if it costs me anything.

"Oh! And rose! A surprise! Queen Emilia agreed for me to take you to my house, right your highness?" she said.

Queen Emilia seemed to not understand something at first.

"Right?? Your highness" she said with a glare.

Queen Emilia nodded.

wierd...

"We will have so much time!" she said.

"Umm... alright" I said walking along with her up to my room to get dressed.

I dressed up in a hot red tank top and a pair of tight jeans.

When I was done, I grabbed my bag and went with Zoe.

We reached her house.

"So what will we do first?" she said excitedly.

"Let's... I don't know... explain what on earth is going on?" I asked mean fully.

She wore a blank expression.
