The Lunar Cave(TLC Halloween AU)

Chapter 1

Cinder wanted to distract herself because Iko was trying to force her to wear a dress for Halloween. So she looked around Iko's apartment to find something to fix. After all, she was a mechanic. A renowned one of Commonwealth City.

"No, Iko, I'm not wearing a dress on Halloween. Actually, I'm not gonna ever wear dresses period." Cinder finally replied, nonchalantly to Iko, who was still begging. Do you even wear dresses on the scariest day of the year? Cinder thought. Maybe it's just Iko.

Cinder didn't even know if she was going to celebrate Halloween this year. She still had to fix Adri's car and get it up and running, before she could have any fun. Iko was all about fun, Iko always tried to make Cinder have fun as well, but Cinder didn't have as much as freedom as she did.

You see, Iko lived in an apartment by herself-the same apartment they were in now-and she loved it because she was free of Adri(Iko used to be Adri's housekeeper and soon quit), but Cinder, however, had to still live with her evil adoptive mother and her evil daughter, Pearl. Adri had another daughter, Peony, who was nice, funny, and adorable, but she soon died of cancer.

"Oh, come on, Cinder! You'll look stunning in that." Iko beamed and pointed at the beautiful sparkling blue dress that layed across one of Iko's couches. "You're going to look so amazing, everyone will be scaried of your intensified beauty."

Cinder didn't believed that. She fiddled with her gloves that hid her prosthetics. "I don't need any kind of costume to look scary. I'm already scary to everyone, when they see my prosthetics." Cinder said bitterly.

When Cinder was young, her home was burned down. Along with the fire, came the death of her real parents and the lost of her left leg and hand. After that tragic night, Cinder got prosthetics for her missing limbs and was adopted by Linh Adri and Linh Garan. Garan died a few days later.

"No, Cinder, don't you ever think that!" Iko said with a frown. She came to Cinder-blue hair shaking as she went-and gave her a big hug. Cinder accepted it and rested her head on Iko's shoulder. Iko broke away from the hug to give Cinder a smile. "You know what? You can be a mechanic for Halloween! A badass one, scaring people with your wrench and other tools." Iko said, gesturing to Cinder's whole outfit.

Cinder laughed. This was the first time she laughed in a long time. She left the living room and walked to a mirror in Iko's bedroom wall. She looked in and saw someone. It was a girl with tanned skin, wearing: a black t-shirt, cargo pants, and boots. The girl also had grease smudged across her forehead. The girl also had prosthetics. It took seconds for Cinder to realize it was her, and when she did, she loved every aspect of herself, regardless of her prosthetics.

After a few minutes to herself, Cinder left the room and went back to the living room. She saw Iko quickly getting her purse, and she wore the dress that she wanted Cinder to wear. Cinder silently laughed, knowing Iko would this.

"Okay, you're back. Let's go and meet the girls and go in the Lunar Cave!" Iko said, getting her shoes.

"Wait, I thought we were going trick or treating." Cinder said. It's not like Cinder was afraid of the Lunar Cave, she just was surprised of the change. The girls and Cinder agreed to get as much as candy as they could tonight, even though they were a little too old for trick or treating.

Besides, the Lunar Cave was nothing to be afraid, it was just a pathetic Halloween attraction. But for an odd reason, no one came out of it, when they went in, but Cinder didn't think too much of this fact, or Iko apparently.

"What are you--" Iko tried to jokingly say, but Cinder interrupted.

"I'm not afraid, Iko. Come on, let's go meet the girls and get to the cave." Cinder said confidently.

"Okay, we'll come back before midnight anyway." Iko said, and seconds later, Cinder and Iko were out the door.

Little did they know, they wouldn't come back home anytime soon.

Wow I finally finished Chapter 1. Sadly, Halloween is a day, but I'll continue this after Halloween anyway.
