Chapter 10

Chapter ten:

 I followed Alex down the pathway to the beach. She wanted to walk in the opposite direction, but I drived her twards where the boys were going to meet us. 

"C'mon, lets walk into the sunset over this way!" Alex said half dragging me twards the opposite direction. 

"Yeah, but wouldn't it be fun to walk this way where its slightly darker? It would be more fun! And besides it's still going to be light outside for a little while longer." I pleaded, and I ended up dragging her where we wanted to go. 

Score!

"Fine, you have your way Tara. just cause your my BFF though, and I haven't had a walk with you in a while." Alex slightly complained. 

We continued walking, not saying a word at one point. I was just hoping to meet up with the boys. Hopefully they would be down there when we got there. 

And sure enough, they were. 

"Hey Boys!" I smiled and screamed across to them. They all looked up, and smiled and waved at us. Grace was running towards us. I swear Harry's mouth just dropped open.

The only question is, was he dropping it open because of Alex or me? 

Grace ran and met up with us. "Hey Tara! You must be Alex, nice to meet you! I'm Grace, Niall's boyfriend!" She was so happy, and Alex was shocked out of her mind.

"Alex," Grace said while placing her hands on Alex's shoulders. "I know it's a bit hard to take in at first, I get it. But you're going to grow to like the boys, and just don't freak out or fan girl." 

Damn, she sounded so reassuring. She must be used to prep talking though. Alex nodded her head silently, and we all walked up to the boys. 

"Hey Alex, I've heard a lot about you. My name's Harry, as you probably already know." He smiled and hugged Alex. 

I was silently dying. The boy I've tried to hard to be with, the one boy in one direction that I've wanted from the start, is now suddenly slipping away. and to who? My best friend. 

Keeping my cool, I just smiled and was enjoying that Alex was starting to fit in. But nothing in that moment could take away the happiness in Harry's eyes when he laid sight on Alex. I just sat down on the beach, and just stared out into the horizon. 

"You okay Cupcake?" Zayns voice peered around my shoulder. I turned around, to see a concerned Zayn Malik. Why is he such a good friend? 

"Yeah, I'm fine." I accidentally gave my despair away though. I let put a little sigh to keep me from crying, and I'm pretty sure that minor sigh let him know that I was about to loose it. 

"Cupcake, something's wrong. Come with me on a walk to talk about it?" He was really trying to make me feel better. Even though 'im Fairly certain he knew what was wrong all along, and he just want's to have some BFF time. 

"Sure Zaynster, whatever you want." I smiled at him whole tilting my head slightly. I sat up, and I gave him my hand. I don't know why that gave him a shoked expression, but I guess it did. 

*****ZAYN'S POV*****

"Come on baby girl, lets go figure out whats bothering you. I wouldn't want you crying." I tried calming her down. Of course I knew she was crying about Harry choosing Alex over her. But I thought that now would be the best time to tell her.

To tell Tara that I really like her, that I was the one who did mouth to mouth on her, tell her everything that i feel, and this, was just my moment to either screw this up, or make it work beautifully. 

We were a good distance away from everyone else, accept we were only still holding hands. I made a move, and let go of her hand, and placing my arm around her shoulder. She did the same with her arm around my waist. 

"So, what's wrong Cupcake?" I asked her. Hopefully she wouldn't start crying. 

But, I guess I was wrong. 

She had been crying apparently for a while, and she started to explain the whole Harry thing to me. 

"The moment Harry saw Alex, he fell in love with her. ALex is so happy, but the happiness in his eyes and how his light green flecks just shimmered as he greeted her with a hug. And now I bet they're making out on the beach and Alex doesn't god damn care that I'm crying."

Tara took her arm off my waist, and started crying into her hands. I took her into my arms and hugged her right there. I didnt let go, and Tara eventually hugged me back. I wouldn't let her go. She needs to get over Harry.

"Tara, maybe Harry isn't the right one for you. If he ditched you like that, then he's an asshole. Your the most amazing, beautiful girl I've ever met, and I'm sure Harry wasn't smart enough to realize what he was missing." I said to her ina soft tone. 

Tara just started crying harded at the thought of loosing Harry. I didn't tell her to stop crying, I just held her there in my arms. 

Eventually after a good 5 minutes, I decided that she'd been crying for too long. I took her arms off my waist, and before she could wipe the tears off her face, I lifted her head up to mine. I crouched down, and just held her head in my hands. 

"Tara, I need to tell you something." I told her as I took my hands and wiped her tears away. Damn, her blue eyes were brighter than ever, and I could make out a few frekles on her cheek. 

*****TARA'S POV*****

I just stood there facing Zayn, silent. I just had a major crying attack on him, I feel like such a big baby! I wanted to cry longer, over everything, but Zayn stopped me from crying. 

I had to purse out the words from my tears "What do you want to tell me?" I said in the wimpiest sadest voice ever. Although atleast I said something. 

And that's when something so unexpected happened. Out of me, and out of Zayn. It's like everything bad went away, and it's like I've never loved or crushed on Harry before. 

"I love you." Zayn said to me in a soft quiet voice. I wasn't expecting him to say that. I never knew that he liked me. And that, is when I did something I don't regret and I didn't expect.

I just kissed Zayn on the lips.

Ahh sorry for the short chapter, but instead of writing more I decided to leave it at a cliff hanger for everyone reading. And I thought it was a good one :)
