*Diamanta's POV*

I walked down the dark streets to my orphanage. The Matron (A/N: I'm pretty sure that's what the owner of an orphanage is called.) will probably be mad, but pfft, who cares. It's not not like she can eat me! Well, she probably can, but pfft, who cares!
Anyway, I kept walking until I got to the orphanage. I sighed and walked in.
"Ah, there you are." Ms. Dodds said in her menacing voice. " Why are you back so late?" she walked up and grabbed my shoulders harshly.
"Oh, is it really late?" I said, playing dumb. "I must have not seen the time."
Ms. Dodds snarled. OH MY GOD DOES SHE HAVE FANGS!?!?!?!? I saw her start to grow bat wings and I was like, "NOPE! I'M OUTTA HERE!! PEACE SUCKAS!!!!" I started running out the door. She reached for me and accidentally cut my hair about an inch shorter. I just barely made it out the door. I kept running as fast as I could. I turned my head and saw that Mrs. Dodds wasn't chasing me anymore. She must have given up. I walked over to a nearby tree and sat down with my back against it. I panted as I looked around for a street sign. I saw one and noticed that I had ran all the way across town.
Well, there's no way I can go back to the orphanage now. I stood up and walked over to a gas station.
Might as well get some supplies, I thought.
I walked in and bought all of my supplies. 4 water bottles, a T-shirt, a pack of bandages, 5 bags of chips, 2 candy bars, 4 granola bars, and some gummy worms. What? I like gummy worms. After I paid I put everything into the backpack I had been carrying.
Once I walked out I saw Mrs. Dodds hovering underneath a street lamp.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT WITH ME YOU CRAZY BAT LADY?" I yelled at her.
She bared her fangs at my and started flying towards me.
Oops, shouldn't have said that. I thought as I started running.
I got trapped in an alleyway. and turned around. Mrs. Dodds was slowly advancing on me.
"To answer your question," She said, "I want to kill you."
"UHHHHHH, WHY?!" I shouted.
"Oh my dear demi-god, your brother is already enough stress on me."
"Brother?!" I yelled looking to my left slightly and seeing a ladder.
She was only about 5 yards away from me now.
I slowly started to move towards the ladder.
"Oh, yes. Well, half-brother." She said, still advancing.
"Oh, really?" I said still inching towards to ladder.
"Yes. Well, enough chit-chat. Say goodbye to your life, demi-god!!" She yelled.
"Not today!" I said swinging up onto the ladder.
I scrambled up the ladder as fast as I could. I could hear Mrs. Dodds screaming with anger as I made it up to the top. I ran across the roof of the buildings, jumping when there was a gap between buildings. I could hear the flapping of wings behind me as I ran.
I got to the edge the buildings and stopped. I quickly turned around to see that Mrs. Dodds was not very far behind me. I turned back around and jumped. My hand touched the ground and I could feel it twist. I screamed out in pain but got back up and kept running.

I got to the forest on the very edge of town and started to dodge trees as I ran, clutching my wrist. I saw a small cave and ran in. I sat down where there was a beam of moonlight so I could see. I looked down at my wrist. It had to be be sprained, maybe even broken. I could see Mrs. Dodds pass the cave. I looked into my bag and found my small flashlight. I shone it around the small cave. There wasn't much other than rocks to see. I turned my flashlight off and sat back against the stone walls. My wrist was still hurting badly. I wish I knew how to treat a sprained wrist.
I took a deep breath and stood up. I looked around the corner of the cave entrance. I didn't see anything so I walked out and started to walk around. I heard a scream that sounded similar to Mrs. Dodds' and started running. I was running so fast I didn't even see the large tree root sticking out of the ground right in front of me. I tripped and felt a large amount of pain in my right ankle.
I fell and held in a scream. I took lots of deep breathes and very slowly stood up. I attempted to start limping out of the forest. I started going up a hill and saw a very large pine tree I kept limping until I tripped over another tree root.
Man, trees really hate me today! I thought.
I knew I was way to weak to try and stand up. I looked up from my spot on the ground and saw an arch that said: Camp Half-Blood.
So this is how I die, I thought, killed by a crazy bat lady in front of Camp Half-Blood with a broken ankle and sprained wrist.
My vision started to go black. Goodbye cruel world! was my last thought before I passed out.
